With the recent announcement ofHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, many fans of the Nintendo franchise are excited for the game to release in November. The newestLegend of Zeldagame will give context to the story ofBreath of the Wild, as well as the Champions of Hyrule.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, will allow players to experience the world of Hyrule as it was 100 years before the events ofBreath of the Wild. Throughout the game, players will learn more about Link, Zelda, and the other four Champions as they attempt to fightCalamity Ganon. In light of this new game, Nintendo of America took to Twitter to let fans know it will be releasing a new run of Amiibo.

Figures of the four Champions were already released forBreath of the Wild, but now Amiibo of Daruk, Urbosa,Mipha, and Revali will be relaunched the same day thatAge of Calamityis released. Even though it is currently uncertain what purpose they will have in the game, some fans presume that the Amiibo will interact with it in some way. Both these Amiibo and the game itself are available for pre-order as of this writing, and will be available on November 20.
DuringHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, players will be able to take control of the champions as well as Link and Zelda as they journey through Hyrule. This action-adventure game is being developed byKoei Tecmo, the same studio that created the firstHyrule Warriors,which has similar fighting mechanics based on its popularDynasty Warriorsseries.
Since this new game was announced recent, not much is known aboutHyrule Warriors: Age of Calamityat this time. However, more is coming out about the game, includingAge of Calamityscreenshots showcasing scenes and battles that various characters can partake in. While there are still questions that fans have about the game, Nintendo promised to give players more information by the end of the month.
Even though this prequel game signals alonger wait forBreath of the Wild 2, many fans are looking forward to seeing more than just glimpses of Link’s memories like in the first game.Age of Calamityseems like it will offer great background for theZeldafranchise as it is today, so many are eager to experience this prequel for themselves come November.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamitywill be available on November 20 for Nintendo Switch.
