Summary
Xbox has released newFallout-themed controllers that are now available to purchase through the Xbox Design Lab. As theFalloutshow’s premiere date approaches, hype surrounding the popular franchise has started to build.
Amazon’sFalloutshow debuts on April 12 and features eight episodes. A previous trailer revealed that the show follows a vault dweller who ventures into the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Los Angeles two centuries afterFallout’s Great War.Todd Howard spoke glowingly of theFalloutshow, saying that it honors the franchise’s legacy by getting it “right.” Fortunately forFalloutfans, there’s a new product on the block to help tide them over until the show’s release.

The new Xbox controller starts at $85 and incorporates a design based aroundFallout’s iconic Vault Boy mascot. It features a white base color that’s etched with dozens ofFallout’s perk icons, which depict Vault Boy in various outfits and activities. The new design also makes creative use of the controller’s Xbox button by implementing a blue-and-yellow Vault Tec decal around it, which matches with the Vault Boy’s logo at the bottom right corner of the controller. Like other designs available in the Xbox Design Lab, users can customize theFalloutcontroller with their preferred thumbsticks, bumpers, d-pad, and more. The controller comes with some of these features automatically pre-selected, but they can be removed to return it to its starting price. Xbox’sFalloutcontroller also comes with Bluetooth capabilities, so it can be used on other platforms like PC.
New Fallout Controller Comes in Four Presets
Although a user can customize the controller to feature any of the Xbox Design Lab’s colors, it comes in four presets that are themed around various factions or items from the franchise. These include a white, blue, and gold option inspired by Vault Dwellers, a silver and red option inspired by the Brotherhood of Steel, an olive green and tan option inspired by the Pip-Boy, and a brown and bright green option inspired byFallout’s Mutants. Xbox did not specify how long the controller will remain in the Design Lab.
Recently,Xbox also releasedPalworld-inspired designsfor its standard and Elite controller. However, these controllers aren’t unique like the newFalloutproduct. Instead, they apply presets that are themed around two Pals, Lamball and Depresso.

In January,Xbox released a new Vapor series of designsthat are still available in the Design Lab. These swirly, eye-catching patterns can be applied to a user-designed controller for an upcharge of $10.
