After Microsoft inked a deal with EA to bring its EA Play library of games toXbox Game Pass, many were anticipating a similar deal to be reached with Ubisoft. Despite rumors of Ubisoft Connect coming toXbox Game Pass, nothing official to that effect has been announced at the time of this writing. But while Ubisoft Connect is not yet part of Xbox Game Pass, that hasn’t stopped some major Ubisoft games from joining Microsoft’s popular subscription service.
Earlier this year,Rainbow Six Extractionhit Xbox Game Passas a day one release, which was significant asExtractionwas one of the first major new game releases of 2022. Now it seems Ubisoft is planning to bring even more of its games to Xbox Game Pass in the relatively near future, with two titles in particular mentioned.

Microsoft has confirmed that within the next two months,Assassin’s Creed Originsis coming to Xbox Game Pass, and it will be available across the cloud, console, and PC (the latter through the Ubisoft Connect app).Assassin’s Creed Originsfirst released in 2017and took theACfranchise in some bold new directions.Assassin’s Creed Originswas the first game in the long-running series to fully embrace an action-RPG framework, which has since been used inAssassin’s Creed OdysseyandAssassin’s Creed Valhalla.
These are just the latest Ubisoft games coming to Xbox Game Pass, but one has to imagine that there will be even more added down the line. After all,Assassin’s Creed OriginsandFor Honor: Marching Fire Editionare preceded by the aforementionedRainbow Six Extraction, the base game ofFor Honor, andRainbow Six Siege.
Specific Xbox Game Pass release dates forAssassin’s Creed OriginsandFor Honor: Marching Fire Editionhaven’t been announced just yet, so fans should stay tuned for more information on that front. In the meantime, they can check out thenew Xbox Game Pass games added in April 2022, and look forward to the titles coming in May.
