Now that the second era ofWoWis available throughWorld of Warcraft Classic - The Burning Crusade, it is time for Horde and Alliance players toventure outside of Azeroth and head to the Outlands. The journey through space requires a one of a kind type transportation method and players need to visit the Dark Portal to make it to the new zones.

In the Shadowlands era, players simply need to visit the portal room from either faction’s capital city, but things weren’t so easy whenWorld of Warcraft TBCoriginally launched. That means that Classic players need to actually find the Dark Portal and step through it in order to get to Outlands and start the new content. It can be a bit of a trek depending on where players are starting, but luckily there are some well-established best routes to get to the portal.

For those who are unaware the Dark Portal is located near the southern end of the Blasted Lands. The best path to reach the Dark Portal is going to vary depending on whether players are amember of the Horde or the Alliance, so just follow along with whichever path matches your allegiance…

Travel to Orgrimmar

Take the Zeppelin to Grom’gol

Use the Grom’gol flight path to travel Stonard in the Swamp of Sorrows

Mount up and start heading south into the Blasted Lands and keep heading south until the portal is in sight

Travel to Stormwind

Fly from Stormwind to Nethergard in the Blasted Lands

Follow the path south until the Dark Portal is in sight

That should be everythingWoW Classicplayers need to successfully find their way to the Blasted Lands and through the Dark Portal to kick off theTBCcontent and start powering through the Outlands zones. Once players arrive in the new zones, the game’s main storyline quests will help point them in the appropriate direction to get to their faction’s first base in Outlands where they’ll be able to continue leveling up and taking the first steps towards the level 70 cap.

Players should keep in mind that PvP can be a little harsh in the shared leveling zones (and on the way to the Dark Portal itself in some cases), so those on PvP servers should keep an eye out and be careful not to get ganked if they can avoid it.
