Thepatch notes forWorld of Warcraft’s next updatehid a relatively minor detail with major implications. According to Blizzard, the patch will see hundreds of zones and rare spawn drops that were removed duringCataclysmfaithfully restored to the game. With the release ofCataclysmin 2010, every zone from vanillaWoWwas revamped. While much of the original game was preserved in a fashion, some aspects were lost, including tons of world drops, many of which were replaced by new items. However, asWorld of Warcraft’s transmog systemwas not added until late inCataclysm, most of these items' appearances were also lost to time. Now, players will once again have the chance to earn these appearances.

World of Warcrafthas not provided a comprehensive list of the items it has re-added to the game in the patch notes, but websites like Wowhead have search functions that can identify many of them. Additionally,World of Warcraft’s new transmog tracking featurecan identify these items and where to find them, so players should be sure to check out the Collections tab once Fury Incarnate is released.

Many transmog enthusiasts inWorld of Warcraftare thrilled for the chance to earn these items again. Despite being of lower visual quality, many players appreciate creating outfits using classic items. With the ability to transmog white and gray quality items inDragonflight,World of Warcrafthad a veritable goldmine of appearances that were not available to collect because of the world revamp, so most fans are happy to find these lost items returned to their proper places. Many players see this small yet impactful change as another example ofWoWchanging for the better, and many hopeWorld of Warcraft’s next expansioncontinues this positive trend.
