Players are given a great deal of freedom inWitchfirewhen it comes to selecting spells, weapons, and even stats. The Ascension Shrine gives gamers a regular opportunity to select a meaningful attribute and upgrade it. Between Vitality, Healing, Endurance, Witchery, Metanoia, and Luck, there are a few options that will make future expeditions more viable.

However, choosing an attribute at random or trying to level up everything evenly inWitchfirewill make for a poor experience. A few of the options simply stand out above the rest when it comes to performance. At least a few levels in a selection of attributes will make the game much easier.
Best Ascension Upgrades
Luck and Metanoia are the best attributes, especially when starting out. Luck will give more drops from enemies, increasing the value of each run. In the same vein, Metanoia boosts the amount of experience gained. Between these two, each run will become more and more lucrative. With a healthy supply of attributes in each, players will find it easier to invest in the other choices.

Afterleveling upand getting a few Luck and Metanoia levels, consider Vitality and Endurance next. Vitality will let players take about an extra hit with each level which is much more valuable than buffing healing potions early on. Mobility is also core to survival so a little extra stamina from Endurance goes a long way.
Healing is a tough sell, at least at first, just because it takes five levels in Healing to create the same health pool at one level in Vitality. Eventually, it’s a good statistic to have for longer runs but that’s not until very late in the game. Finally, Witchery is the most underwhelming attribute. Reducing a spell’s cooldown by 2% per point means making a huge investment before even noticing the perks. Thedevs are proud of the game’s combatbut with the stamina limitations, spellcasting won’t be a primary source of damage. Spells are meant to be used in quick bursts in critical moments making a reduction in cooldown time almost meaningless.
