It certainly left an impression on Oleksandr Hrytsai, who spent over a week carving Eredin’s helmet out of oak, before posting the results on the officialWitchersubreddit. It received glowing praise fromThe Witcher 3community, as the texture of oak and the stained wood look managed to beautifully convey the harsh features of a mask befitting the King of the Wild Hunt. Oleksandr also submitted a video on his YouTube channel that showed the carving process through an accelerated time-lapse.

In addition to recreating Eredin’s helmet fromWild Hunt, Oleksandr also made carvings from other popular franchises, such as the Uruk-Hai helmet fromLord of the Rings, or the Mandalorian Armorer’s helmet fromStar Wars. ThoughWild Huntreleased in 2015, the game continues to be in the gaming spotlight, as CD Projekt Red frequently releasesnew updates forThe Witcher 3, and recently made an effort to port the title to next-gen consoles.

However, following the announcement ofThe Witcher 4built on Unreal Engine 5, many fans have started to build excitement for the next installment of the franchise, seemingly set in a new Witcher school, featuring a new protagonist, and a new story.
