It was around that time when Tom Hanks joined the rom-com drama cast that will featurebig names such as Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Jeffrey Wright, Matt Dillon, Edward Norton, Steve Carell, Willem Dafoe, Rita Wilson, Rubert Friend, Hope Davis and Maya Hawke, among many others.

While no movie artwork is available, theAsteroid Citysynopsis provides insight into the story. “The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events,” reads the synopsis. The Focus Features film is set in a fictional American town in the desert in 1955, which matches Anderson’s preference to turn back time now and then.
Anderson’s inventive worlds have always captivated fans, so the period drama tag matched with such a talented group of actors certainly fits the director, regardless ofAmsterdamdoing badlywith critics and audiences despite boasting a similar all-star cast.Asteroid Cityis said to have been filmed in Spain, as stated by Bill Murray, who ultimately missed out on a role due to a poorly timed case of COVID.
More recently, Anderson’s name went semi-viral due to Anthony and Joe Russo sharing a piece of AI fan art that gave Marvel’sAvengersan Anderson spin with the type of colors and aesthetic he’s always been known for.
