Fans ofCall of Duty: Warzone 2are voicing their concerns online, after update notes for the upcoming Season 2 made no mention of any kind of Combat Records. This leaves players unable to view their in-game stats forCall of Duty: Warzone 2.
Warzone 2has struggled to recapture the lightning-in-a-bottle formula that made the original experienceso popular. It has faced plenty of criticism, with much of it reserved forWarzone 2’s UI issues. The interface is missing plenty of key features, and Combat Records are just another example of something that should be in the game from launch.

The Combat Record is a feature that has always been extremely important toCall of Dutyplayers. It’s a staple of the franchise, with some variant of the feature appearing in every game since the originalCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It even appeared in the originalCall of Duty:Warzone, making its exclusion even more bizarre. One user on Reddit thread provided a cheeky comment, saying, “They don’t want people to know how bad they are. Not good for player retention.” While Infinity Ward will definitely want to keep players engaged for as long as possible, it’s unlikely that it is deliberately withholding a core feature from players for this reason. TheCombat Record was previously announced forWarzone 2Season 1, but the wait continues indefinitely.
The exclusion of Combat Records, while confusing, could be for a number of reasons. One of the most likely explanations is that there are technical issues preventing it from being implemented properly, but that’s just speculation at this time. It was expected that thedelay toWarzone 2’s Season 2would result in the feature being added, but players face a further wait to get their hands on the Combat Record.
With manybugs causing issues forWarzone 2players, 2023 needs to be a big year for the title. The battle royale genre is extremely saturated, so for a game to succeed it needs to deliver what players want. Although the Combat Records release date is currently unknown, it’s hoped that Infinity Ward realizes this and caves to player demands.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
