InWarhammer Vermintide 2, players will want to start knocking out collectibles as soon as possible. Collecting these rewards has the immediate benefit of upgrading the prize’s quality at the end of the match. If players find all of them, they get a huge boost.

Even with the prize aside, players won’t be able to say they’ve fully completed a level without every tome and grimoire collected. Some books can be found by curious minds but others require an awful lot of experimentation to unlock. Thankfully, theWarhammerVermintide 2community has done the legwork, showing collectors where each piece is in Hunger in the Dark
Tome #1
After a short trip through the mines, players will jump down into an area called ‘The Backfill.’ Head to the right and spot an opening. Make an immediate left and then an immediate right to arrive next to a pool with the first tome next to it.
Solo players can use botsto pick up these items for them if they’d like.
Grimoire #1
Players will be given four exploding barrels but only need to load three of them onto the cart. Keep the fourth and then pull the lever. When the cart goes through an area that collapses, head left and through a waterlogged section of the cave.

The tracks will veer left at a wooden wall but go right and down a cave instead. Make a left and head toward a wooden barrier. When players get close enough, it will prompt them to place a barrel and blow down the wall. Go inside, up a ladder, and find the first grimoire on a box conveniently painted with the grimoire’s logo.
For gamers that lose their barrel, there is another one up the ladder by the spot where the tracks veer away from the barrier.The game can be long enough as it is, but missing these grimoires is passing up on easy loot, be sure to get them.
Tome #2
After arriving at ‘The Transfer,’ go down a dark shaft to the left instead of following the cart straight ahead. Jump over the wooden rails and enter a completely darkened room. There should be only one visible thing: the outline of a box.
Crack open the box and grab the second tome. If the tide of enemies gets too strong, equip some gear withthe best traitsto cut them down.
Grimoire #2
The cart will fall off of a cliff and players will be forced to go right. Don’t go too far down the right cave, though, find a tiny hole on the right side. Jump there and duck to squeeze through. The path goes up a ladder and then ends at a cliff. Once again, do not jump down.

Instead, climb the rocks on the right side and find a narrow ledge. Turn around back toward the rocks, and duck into the tiny opening. Find the last grimoire inside. Using asuperior career classcan make this entire process much easier.
Tome #3
After dropping down to ‘The Old Troll Grounds,’ head left and spot a small mesa with an explosive barrel on it. Hop up on this elevated area by using some rocks on the right side, jumping on the stalagmites, and then up to the top.
From there, look to the side and spot an outcropping at the base of a natural rock ramp. Leap there, take the ramp up, and pick up the final book at the top. Getting all the tomes and grimoires on legendary of higher difficulty will give playersthe best odds of acquiring red veteran loot boxes.
