How to Craft a Staff of Embers?

The Staff of Embers calls for 20 Yggdrasil Wood, 4 Surtling Cores, and 16 Refined Eitr, which can only be constructed atthe new crafting station inValheim, the Galdr Table. Fortunately, they only need this to be a level 1 Galdr Table to create this weapon. The required materials bring players to a pair of different biomes: the Black Forest and the Mistlands.

Starting with Surtling Cores, these glowing cubes can be most commonly found in the Burial Chamber dungeons inValheim’s Black Forest. Yggdrasil Wood requires players to use a Black Metal Axe on the Yggdrasil Shoots that grow throughout the Mistlands biome, while Refined Eitr is the product of combining Sap and Soft Tissue at an Eitr Refinery. Those ingredients can be extracted from the glowing roots in the Mistlands for the former and found within the skulls of Ancient Remains for the latter.

How to Use a Staff of Embers?

This weapon is designed to launch fireballs at enemies, dealing both blunt and fire damage. Right-clicking activates the staff’s power, and holding it will launch successive fireballs until the player runs out of Eitr. This isthe magical resource new toValheimand one that can be temporarily increased by eating the right food items. It functions as a two-handed weapon and can be placed on a player’s hotkeys.

The Staff of Embers at its base level can deal 120 blunt damage and 120 fire damage and uses 35 Eitr per fireball. The staff has a block armor of 48, block force of 20, and an impressive knockback of 100. With all of these, the weapon can be extremely useful for pushing themassive creatures that live in the Mistlandsback and dealing significant amounts of damage. Its relatively high Eitr cost means that it will only launch a few fireballs before draining this resource bar completely.
