Mario Kart Tour’s updates arrive regularly, and the next upcoming season is bringing aDonkey Kongtrack with it. Fans of the mobile take on the iconic racer will likely be excited to know that the Autumn Tour is officially coming to a close, and with it, new arrivals are just around the corner.
Mario Kart Touris the mobile variant of the long-runningMario Kartseries, which has received mixed reactions from fans since its launch. While the return of classic tracks and the addition of new tracks, racers, and costumes has been widely appreciated, themonetized nature ofMario Kart Tourhas left some players sour. However, fans who were turned off by the “free-to-start” style of the game have been given another option to try out some of the new tracks. SelectMario Kart Tourtracks were added toMario Kart 8 Deluxewith the Booster Course Pass DLC, giving players a chance to try out some new Tour tracks while also revisiting some classics from prior console entries to the series.

Mario Kart Tourhas officially announced that the next Tour of the game will begin on November 15, introducing the Animal Tour. The Animal Tour will feature a classicMario Karttrack, DK Mountain. Initially making its debut inMario Kart: Double Dash!!, the track has also seen a prior comeback inMario Kart Wii, albeit with some modifications. Surprisingly, it’s the GameCube version that players can expect, not the Wii version. The reasoning for using an older version of the map isn’t clear.
As with prior tours, a new series ofMii racing suitshave also been announced, this time with Wave 19.Mario Kart Tourisn’t revealing too much about which suits will be added this time around, though it did offer a video teaser giving players some hints.
Mario Kartcontinues to be an incredibly successful franchise for Nintendo with no signs of stopping or slowing down. Fans wondered for a long time ifMario Kart 9would eventually make its way to the Switch or if such a title wouldn’t be seen until the next Nintendo console. While it’s not impossible for a sequel to launch on the Switch, withMario Kart 8 Deluxereceiving new updates with a bevy of additional tracks, the likeliness is extremely low. There’s also the possibility that the new racers and costumes fromMario Kart Tourcould eventually make their way to the Switch version of the game, further extending its lifespan. However, Nintendo hasn’t made any official comments on the possibility.
