During today’s Indie World Showcase, Nintendo announced thatUntitled Goose Gamewill be receiving a free update that will allow for players to play through the entire game with a friend cooperatively.
The announce came at the tail-end of the live event, as the final announcement of the entire showcase. The update will allow for players to experience the entirety ofUntitled Goose Gamewith a friend, letting playerscause even more hilarious chaosas two horrible geese. This new addition will surely introduce plenty of new and interesting gameplay possibilities, with an extra goose thrown into the mix. The update launches next month on September 23 for the Nintendo Switch. This new update is not exclusive to the Switch edition, as the PlayStation 4 will also be receiving the co-op update as well.

In addition to the new update, it was also announced thatUntitled Goose Gamewill also be receiving a physical edition in the near future for both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The physical edition of the game will launch shortly after the co-op update on September 29 for both consoles. It was not clarified whether the new update will be coming to the Xbox One version of the game, or if the Xbox One will be receiving a physical edition.
Alongside the physical edition’s announcement, it was also revealed thatsome extra goodies will also be bundled in withUntitled Goose Game, such as a sticker, map, and even a plaza catalog from the game.

Originally launching as a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch and PC back in September 2019,Untitled Goose Gamelater released for both the PS4 and Xbox One as well. The game went on to receive praise from both fans and critics alike,even winning some Game of the Year awards.Untitled Goose Gamehas also sold incredibly well since its launch,selling over a million copieswithin just its first three months and becoming one of the best-selling indie titles in all of 2019. The game’s new co-op update and physical edition are both sure to boost its sales even further in the coming months.
