Summary

Bleachhas quickly become one of the most popular shonen series once again, in no small part because of the adaptation of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc that has taken over the world by storm. The lack of any padded scenes and brilliant animation has been an absolute treat forBleachfans, even if manga readers are dreading the ending despite the promise shown early on in this arc.

Regardless of how much the hype surrounding this adaptation may be, there’s no denying that the writing inBleachcan be very loose at times. Many unexplained powerups, events, and circumstances have appeared in this series time and time again, leading to a ton of confusion among fans for obvious reasons.

6How Did Ichigo Become So Strong That Aizen Didn’t Even Pose A Challenge?

There’s no denying that watching a shonen protagonist power up to defeat their enemies makes for a scintillating watch that never gets tiring anytime soon. However, when it comes to Ichigo, this trope occurs so many times that it’s hard to take any of the Shinigami in Soul Society seriously if a high school student with barely any experience in fightingsuddenly becomes infinitely more powerful than them!

Perhaps the worst example of this is when Ichigo and his dad decide to train in the Dangai just before the protagonist went for his final battle against Aizen. Somehow, this training was so effective that Ichigo ended up outclassing a Hogyoku-fused Aizen in every way before unleashing the power of the Final Getsuga Tensho to take this antagonist out once and for all. It’s one of the most disappointing fights inBleachand is not helped by the fact that Ichigo’s powerup is completely nonsensical to boot.

5Where Were The Royal Guard When The Shinigami Were Fighting Other Threats?

The Royal Guard is certainly one of the coolest groups inBleach, with the Zero Division sporting a wealth of talent with unique Zanpakutos that can take out most enemies with ease. Their leader, Ichibe Hyosube, is considered by many to be one of the strongest Shinigami of all time, which is no small feat.

This is why most people find it hard to believe that the Royal Guard was perfectly content with letting the toughest Shinigami around fall over and lose time and time again to both Ichigo’s group andthe Arrancar when their presence threatened the very existence of Soul Society itself. If these characters really are that powerful, then where were they when all of this was going down?

4Just What Is Aizen’s Bankai?

There are many Bankai that haven’t been revealed by the end ofBleach, and fans are hoping that the Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation is extended just a bit to give these Shinigami their time in the spotlight. However, while most of the other Shinigami’s unrevealed Bankai can still be accepted to an extent, there’s one character whose Bankai should’ve played a major role in the story.

Aizen Sosuke is one of the most fascinating characters in anime history, with his powers allowing him to cast powerful illusions and bamboozle any person unlucky enough to get in his way. Given how powerful this character is, fans simply can’t believe that Kubo never came around to developing his Bankai since it could’ve been a truly special — and terrifying — moment.

3Where Is Nelliel’s Hollow Hole?

Nel is a unique character whom Ichigo and his friends encounter while exploring Hueco Mundo. While most people assumed that she’s nothing more than an adorable Hollow child, the truth of her existence comes to light when her memories come back, and she reveals herself to be one of the former members of the Tres Espada… and a pretty powerful one at that.

Aizen Revealing His True Identity

However, despite her identity as a Hollow, there’s no hole in her body that anyone can see. Even the extra information given by Tite Kubo hasn’t revealed this fact, leading to many fans making weird and funny assumptions regarding the same.

2How Can Yachiru Have A Shikai If She’s A Zanpakuto Spirit?

Yachiru is Kenpachi’s only friend in Soul Society who tolerates his murderous rage and doesn’t really get fazed by his odd antics. However, after his fight against Unohana, Kenpachi finally gains the means to access his true strength and unleashthe power of his Shikai and Bankai, learning his Zanpakuto’s name in the process.

In the process, it’s also revealed that Kenpachi had unconsciously manifested the spirit of his Zanpakuto around him, taking on Yachiru’s form. While she may be a spirit, this ex-lieutenant also has a Shikai of her own, which is hard to believe given that she’s a Zanpaakuto herself.

1Where Is Kon After The Time Skip?

The end ofBleachis abrupt and disappointing, withYhwach dying in no time at alland the story going through a time skip in record time that is only covered in a few pages. It’s a disappointing ending that many fans weren’t huge fans of, and hopefully, The Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation will change things in this department.

There are many characters whose fates are left unexplained in the end, with a notable mention being Kon. Despite being a comic relief character, Kon did have his moments in the anime and formed a deep relationship with Ichigo too. The fact that this Mod Soul’s existence has been conveniently forgotten is a source of great anguish for many fans.
