Skrapnel has made multiple appearances inTransformerscartoons, video games, and comic books, always portrayed as a purple and silver insectoid with several deadly cannons on his back, which also serve as his legs. 18Straxus
The Warlord Of Cybertron
Straxusis another king among scrap metal, and is a mighty Decepticon warrior who bends the knee to no one, and overpowers all who stand in his way, whether they be friends, foes, or innocent bystanders. 16Scourge
The Broken Mirror Image Of A Prime
The moniker ofScourgehas appeared many times in the Transformers universe, from the G1 cartoon to the modern-day feature film,Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. However, one of the best versions of the character resides inTransformers: Robots in Disguise, where Megatron stole a special device thatcopied Optimus Prime’s designbut with Decepticon programming.
Throughout the series, Scourge ripped a path of destruction through the Autobots, being nearly too much for Optimus himself, being his opposite in every way.

A Long-Standing Terror Of All Autobots

14Astrotrain
A Force Of Nature And Fury
Astrotrainfirst appeared in theoriginal Transformers animated seriesduring the second half of the show’s second season. Astrotrain is a hulking powerhouse with a rare ability to increase his size and has two alternate transformations; a space shuttle and a locomotive train. In the Decepticon ranks, Astrotrain was described as the factions transport specialist; in battle, he would play with the minds of his enemies by quickly switching between his multiple forms.
Like most Decepticons, Astrotrain had an egregious thirst for power and on more than one occasion plotted against Megatron to take his position and rule over the Decepticons himself. Astrotrain’s threat level increases as he can influence other machines as well, having created an entire army from scrapped trains to take on Megatron.

A Walking Calamity

12Nightbird
A Knife In The Dark
In the originalTransformersanimated series,Nightbirdmade her first appearance as a prototype built by the human character, the scientist Fujiyama, who built her to showcase how far robotics had come in the human world. Seizing an opportunity, the Decepticons stole the Nightbird prototype and upgraded it into a powerful ninja robot, but because she was not originally a Decepticon, she had no vehicle transformation in the series and wasn’t sentient.
Throughout the character’s history, she reappeared in later installments of the franchise after being deactivated by Starscream who saw her as a threat. She was more prominent in the comic books having been upgraded to become a full-fledged Transformer with transformations. He is always a renegade Decepticon, with his faction of soldiers carrying out campaigns against Optimus Prime and Megatron by himself. His history is short compared to otherTransformerscharacters; still, it is one of the most eventful. His prowess in battle and tactics in theTransformersuniverse make him a leading threat.
