Kaiju No. 8is based on a manga that has only been published since 2020, but has already had to be reprinted several times due to its high demand. It is a science fiction story set in an alternate Japan wheregiant monsters called Kaijurun rampant. A branch of the military called the Defense Corps is responsible for fighting them off, and another organization called the Professional Kaiju Cleaner Corporation is stuck with the dirty job of cleaning up their remains.

Kafka Hibino is 32 years old and works in the cleaning crew, though he has always dreamed of being in the Defense Corps. When doing a job one day, a parasitic kaiju forces its way into his body, transforming Kafka into a monster. Using the new powers he has gained, Kafka begins tofight against the other kaiju, trying to pursue his dream of being a hero and fighting in the Defense Corps after all.

Where Can I WatchKaiju No. 8Dubbed?

The big news about theKaiju No. 8dub came just this past Tuesday from the same website that is going to offer itsinternational streaming - Crunchyroll. The streaming service reported that it is going to be airingKaiju No. 8simultaneously with its Japanese release, and while, of course, the subtitled version will be available, a multi-language dubbed version will also be streaming shortly thereafter.

Kaiju No. 8will get asame-day dub in English, Latin American Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The subbed version ofKaiju No. 8will air at 10:00am EDT, which will be simultaneous with its air time in Japan, and the dubbed version will be available 90 minutes later at 11:30am EDT.

The website has also reported that the English dub will be produced by Susie Nixon, and the English script is written by Jarrod Greene. Nixon is known for her work on the English versions of huge anime likeAttack on TitanandDragon Ball Z, just to name two of the biggest ones, and Greene for his work on the English versions ofChainsaw Man,Vinland Saga, and more.

Kaiju No. 8is international in more ways than one. Beyond the multilingual dub, the anime is not going to have Japanese artistsperforming the opening and ending songs. The opening will be performed by British music star YUNGBLUD, with American pop group OneRepublic performing the ending. Expectations and excitement are high around the world forKaiju No. 8, that’s for sure, and a lot of money has already been poured into the anime’s production.
