MGM and Amazon Prime Video have released the first official trailer for Ron Howard’s upcoming filmThirteen Lives. The headline-stealing film will hit the streamer in August and will center around a perilous rescue mission.
In 2018, members of a junior football team found themselves trapped in a flooding Thailand cave. For eighteen harsh days, the young boys and their coach were imprisoned in the gradually submerging cave system, attracting tremendous attention from locals and those around the world. TheAmazon Prime Videooriginal film will follow the acts of the international rescue team assembled to locate and rescue the endangered junior football team.

Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell lead the gripping rescue mission as British divers Rick Stanton and John Volanthen, who stepped in to lend their expertise to locate the trapped young boys and their coach. Alongside Mortensen and Farrell will beObi-Wan KenobistarJoel Edgerton, playing anesthetist Harry Harris. The notable figure quickly noticed the daunting challenge awaiting the divers and the junior football team, whose underwater journey to safety would take roughly three hours.
