Summary
Baizhu’s first appearance inGenshin Impactwas years ago, but he wasn’t playable until the 3.6 update. Having been around since theGenshin ImpactLiyue chapters but not being out until Sumeru made him an anticipated drop. As a Dendro unit, since the element had only just been introduced, his banner was one with many eyes on it. And though there were some mixed feelings on his kit, he excels at what he does.
Baizhu has a kit that makes him an ideal support; he can both shield and heal.Genshin Impact’s supports usually only do one or the other, one other exception beingGenshin Impact’s Diona. Even better, as a Dendro unit, having him on a team with another popular Dendro unit like Nahida or Alhaitham will give the team Dendro resonance. This buffs Elemental Mastery and reactions and heavily buffs any double Dendro team.

Genshin Impact’s Baizhu’s Kit
Baizhu’s Build
Dendro and Elemental Mastery are almost always paired together. Not to say Baizhu needs none, but for his specific kit, HP is far more important. His healing, shielding, and one of his passives all require that players stack as much HP intoGenshin Impact’s Baizhu builds. Artifact sets that add HP like Tenacity of the Millelith or Ocean-Hued Clam will be ideal for him.
When it comes toBaizhu’s best weapons, besides his signature weapon, there’s a good amount of F2P options that won’t drain Primogems. The craftable weapon Prototype Amber is ideal for anyone who has nothing else available, but more than that, it’s also one of his best available weapons. The popular 3-star option, Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, is also a good support choice.

Baizhu’s Talents
ForBaizhu’s talent priorities, start with his burst, then his skill, and only upgrade his normal attack if needed. By no means should he be a DPS, it isn’t very possible with his kit. The passive talent that gives 25% Dendro damage bonus when the active character is over 50% HP isn’t a very strong one. Making him the damage dealer on the team is losing damage overall and weakens his healing and shielding since his attacks scale with ATK and not HP.
Baizhu’s Teams
He’s most likely going to be the one filling out the flex slot in the standard team template.Baizhu’s best team compsare all going to have a sub-DPS, a main DPS, and an extra applicator or healer in addition to himself. This is mostly a coincidence, however, since so many good Hydro units for Dendro teams tend to be healers such as Barbara, Kokomi, and even Xingqiu since his skill does include extra healing.
This could also be any other catalyst user who uses Prototype Amber since its passive allows healing for a certain percentage of the user’s HP. For the most part, though, it should be Baizhu doing the healing and shielding while the rest of the team carries the damage and achieves victory.
Baizhu’s Constellations
Before deciding ifGenshin Impact’s Baizhu’s constellationsare what a player wants, they should look into what each one does. His C3 boosts his elemental burst and his C5 boosts his elemental skill. His highest priority constellations are the following:
