After completing the game’s tutorial section and making their way down to the surface,The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayers will find themselves with a difficult decision on their hands. Upon being reunited with Purah, they’ll triggerthe Regional Phenomena main story mission, which requires them to visit four iconicZeldalocations and investigate a series of unusual events that have been taking place there.

Rather than forcing players to visit these locations in a set order, though, the game allows them to choose when to tackle each objective. Some players will probably find this freedom refreshing, but others will no doubt be eager to learn which is the best temple order inThe Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomand whether there are any obvious advantages to ignoring the game’s subtle hints.
Which Temple Should You Visit First in Tears of the Kingdom?
When players initially completethe To the Kingdom of Hyrule main story missionand trigger Regional Phenomena, Purah will actually suggest that Link pays a visit to Rito Village first. After completing the Tulin of Rito Village story arc, players will then be able to find a Goron in Lookout Landing, who’ll point them in the direction of Death Mountain and the Yunobo of Goron City sub-quest. Completing that will lead to Purah sending players off toward Zora’s Domain, which would make Gerudo Town the final stop on Link’s journey.
The Best Temple Order in Tears of the Kingdom
Whether or not this is the best order to complete Regional Phenomena will likely depend on the player, though there are some benefits to completing the sub-quests in this order. For example, heading to Rito Village first will likely lead to players running into Impa in the Hyrule Ridge area, allowing them to get started onthe Impa and the Geoglyphs main questright away. There’s a good chance they’ll run into Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette too, which will kickstart a series of side quests.
Beyond this, though, it could be argued that there’s no real benefit to following the game’s suggested temple order. In fact, with Tulin of Rito Village and Yunobo of Goron City being considerably longer than the other two sub-quests, it could be argued that visiting Zora’s Domain second is actually a better idea. Not only does this break up the playthrough a little better, but it also allows players to get their hands onthe Zora Armorand Prince Sidon’s water shield ability a little earlier, both of which can come in handy later on.
Does the Order Really Matter?
Ultimately, it really doesn’t matter too much which order players choose to tackle the sub-quests inTears of the Kingdom’s Regional Phenomena main story mission. If they really wanted to, they could complete the pre-temple parts for all four storylines first and then return to tackle the temples back to back, or complete parts of one sub-quest before switching over to another. It’s entirely their choice and one which is impossible to get wrong.
