One way in which players can find and loot these precious upgrade tools is by cracking safes left behind by the inhabitants of this world. WhileThe Last of Us Part 1has introduced the crafty method ofunlocking safes by sound alone, the key to successfully opening safes is by finding their nearby combinations.This guide will show players where to find all four safesand their combinationsinThe Last of Us Part 1toget the “Sticky Fingers” trophy.

The Outskirts | Downtown
This chapter begins with Ellie, Joel, and Tess making their way outside the Boston quarantine zone. Eventually, the trio will cut through a skyscraper anddrop into some subway tunnelsthat are infested with fungus monsters. In the area where the player must get bya number of Clickersand Runners to reach a ladder on the far side,the player can find some shops on either sideof the station.
Sticking to the leftfrom where Joel enters, take out a dormant Runner along the corner andhead into the shop, making sure toavoid the Clicker patrolling the area. Vaulting over the counter, this safe combination artifact can befound in a draweron the other side.
Combination: 03-43-78.
The safe for this code isfound in the Round Note store directly oppositethis one, on the other side of the platform, behind another counter.
Bill’s Town | The Woods
A little while into this chapter,Joel and Elliewill work together to unlock the gate leading onto the main street. Heading all the wayto the far end of the road, Joel will reach a barricade adorned with barbed wire; the safe combination artifact can befound caught in the wire.
Combination: 5-17-21.
Halfway down this same road isan old pickup truck on the rightnear the evacuation sign. The safe is foundon the ground next to the pickup truck.
Pittsburgh | Hotel Lobby
After exploring the city,The Last of Us' iconic duowill end up following a pair of Huntersinto a hotel lobbyafter crossing a flooded section with a plank. Inside, grab the ladder toreach the second floor,and instead of heading left,shimmy along the ledge to the rightto find the combination on the floor.
Combination: 22-10-56.
Dropping back down, the safe for this chapter is foundin a room adjacent to the check-in desk, in which the player can find a training manual.
The Suburbs | Suburbs
This safe is foundafter escaping the sewersand entering the Pittsburgh suburbs. Before climbing down onto the wide street below,explore the last house in this areapast the ice cream truck and near the dead end. The combination isfound atop a desk in the attic. On the inside of a matchbook, players will see the code.
Combination: 08-21-36.
The safe is found one floor down,inside a bedroom wardrobe.
