Love it or hate it,Morbiusis finally hitting people’s homes after what some found a rather surprisingly extended run in movie theaters. As people are able to rent the movie on their favorite digital platforms, or purchase it from their favorite retailers, it turns outMorbiusis also available for rent from the last Blockbuster store left in the United States.
While there were those who were quiteexcited to see aMorbiusmovieget made, the reviews for the film were almost universally critical. There were a ton of different reasons why people simply weren’t happy about the way the movie was put together or presented. The people behind the marketing didn’t help by teasing that there was some sort of tie to the MCU that never materialized. Then there was the fact that people actually started ‘memeing’ the movie so hard that Sony apparently thought there was actually a fandom out there. While there was a bit of a backlash againstMorbius, there are still plenty of ways to watch it out there.

It turns out that there is still a way to rent a physical copy of the movie should people really set their minds to it. The last Blockbuster in the country has the movie for rent and apparently, it’s got more than a few copies. There are actually 16 copies available to rent, and it turns outMorbiusis fairly popular, as a recent check by Twitter user Don McHoull shows that six copies have been checked out.
For those not familiar with the saga of this branch of Blockbuster, it truly is the last operating store in the country after the company shuttered thousands of branches that were once so popular. While this last store is also a tourist attraction, people can set up accounts and check out films. Thatincludes theMorbiusfilm, which has mostly been a critical and financial failure.
There are a couple of interesting notes from this last Blockbuster store in that the people running itfeltMorbiuswould be popular enoughthat it needed to make 16 copies available. Of course, it does appear that the people of Bend, Oregon are interested in the flick, considering there are at least six copies of it checked out at any one time.
This also shows just how much the store is still operating as a real retail franchise. While it’s true there are plenty of older movies that can be rented at this location, it’s still making sure that newer films likeMorbiusare available as well.
Morbiusis now available on Amazon Prime Video, in addition to the last Blockbuster.
