This was allegedly because the game wasn’t cinematic enough and failed to meet Sony’s standards. Embracer Group’s CEO had no commentwhen asked about theStar Wars Knights of the Old Republicremake. To further confound matters, Embracer Group itself has apparently been going through its own issues and has undergone a lot of restructuring over the past few months. Why the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Needs a Proper Update
There are many questions unanswered about the game’s development, and they haven’t been helped by the actions of different publishers. Officially this was because the music license for what was in it had expired. While it doesn’t confirm anything, it has given fans reason to believe that the game has been unofficially canceled. If Embracer Group wants to keep people from thinking this is the case, it will have to offer some kind of official update.
While the companies making the game shouldn’t be expected to release a full trailer some questions should be answered by those involved. The first is whether the game is still being made. With Embracer Groups' current restructuring, it could be that theKnights of the Old Republicremake got the ax and the company hasn’t announced it. Furthermore, the rumors of production being restarted by Saber Interactive is something that should be addressed one way or the other and give gamers some idea of what is going on.
