As one might expect from agame about street racing,Need For Speed Unboundfeatures its fair share of fast cars. Players will be given one right from the get-go during the single-player campaign, though, after the prologue, they’ll need to start again from scratch and work their way up the food chain in order to get their hands on some of the game’s fastest cars.
Initially, players will be heavily limited when it comes to what they can afford, but as they take part in more and more races, the fastest cars inNeed For Speed Unboundwill quickly become attainable. Players will then be able to tune and tweak their rides to squeeze every drop of power out of them, pushing their top speeds well beyond the 200 mph mark.

As a result, those looking to get behind the wheel of the game’s fastest vehicles now have more options than ever. Initially, this list focused only on the stock speeds of cars that could be purchased from the garage as part of the main story. However, it has since been updated to include a few post-release vehicles and some of the mind-melting custom cars that can be unlocked by completing deliveries for Rydell. For those just getting started, though, the original list can be found in its entirety beneath the table below.

The Buick Grand National GNX may not be as flashy as a Lambo or a Porsche, but there’s an awful lot of power under the hood. Born from Buick’s expanded Regal line, this luxury coupe has a top speed of 201 mph and can fly out of the blocks with a 0-60 time of just over three seconds. It’s agreat car for driftingtoo and relatively inexpensive when compared to some of the other fast cars inNeed For Speed Unbound.
9Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 (1973)
Top Speed: 211 mph
The Porsche 911 Carrera is a car that needs no real introduction. It’s one of the most recognizable cars on the planet and is admired by many for both its looks and its immense power both on the track andon the streets. With a top speed of 211 mph, few cars are capable of keeping up with a Carrera, nor are there many that are quite as good at drifting around corners.
8MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ‘17
Top Speed: 212 mph
With its boxy exterior and relatively small wheels, the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman doesn’t look like a particularly fast car at first glance. Looks can be deceiving though, as this German hatchback is remarkably fast, both in terms of its top speed and its acceleration. In fact, it’s one of the fastest cars inNeed For Speed Unboundand a solid choice for those looking fora decent drift car.
7Ferrari 488 Pista (2019)
Top Speed: 213 mph
The Ferrari 488 Pista has a surprising amount of grip for a rear-wheel drive car. One thing that’s not surprising, however, is the car’s stunning exterior, which displays the kind of style and finesse that the world has come to expect from a Ferrari. It’s also exceedingly fast; yet another trademark ofthe renowned Italian manufacturer.
6Mazda RX-7 Spirit R (2002)
Top Speed: 214 mph
Mazda has made plenty of fantastic convertibles and coupes over the years, but the pick of the bunch is arguably the RX-7 Spirit R. This beautiful car packs a ridiculous amount of power under the hood, giving it an impressive top speed of 214 mph. This makes it one of the fastest cars inNeed For Speed Unboundas well as one of the best-looking.
5Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster (2019)
Top Speed: 217 mph
Given its price, one might be forgiven for being a little disappointed with what the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster has to offer. Granted, it is still capable of hitting a massive 217 mph under the right conditions and can be made to go even faster with a little tweaking and a few new parts. However, there are much faster cars available inNeed For Speed Unboundfor considerably less cash.
4Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 (2021)
Top Speed: 221 mph
The Lamborghini Countach is the dream car of many, and for very good reason. As well as its stunning exterior, thisluxury Italian carpacks a monster of a V12 engine which is capable of outputting up to 750 CV at 8,500 RPM. For those wondering, that works out at just shy of 740 horsepower, making the Countach one ofNeed For Speed Unbound’s fastest cars.
3Aston Martin Vulcan 2016
Top Speed: 223 mph
One of the manythings that makes Britain great, the Aston Martin Vulcan 2016 is arguably one of the company’s best-ever cars, both in terms of its looks and its power. Designed by Marek Reichman, the car looks fantastic and boasts a 0-60 time of just under three seconds. Only a handful of cars offer better acceleration, with fewer still offering a higher top speed.
2Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe (2019)
Top Speed: 224 mph
German cars aren’t quite as flashy as Italian ones, but they’re usually every bit as fast; if not faster. The Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe is a great example of this, with the 2019 model boasting a top speed of 224 mph and a 0-60 time of just 3.1 seconds. There aren’t too many cars that are faster than this, either in the game or in the real world.

Top Speed: 232 mph
Some might be surprised to learn that an old Mercedes is the fastest car inNeed For Speed Unbound, but anybody who’s ever driven one probably won’t bat an eyelid. This vintage eighties automobile is packing Mercedes’ iconic M102.990 engine: a 16-valve 2.5 liter behemoth capable of outputting over 200 bhp of raw power. Its in-game top speed of 232 mph makes the 190E the fastest car in the showroom and a solid, albeit pricey pick for those looking to satisfy their need for speed.
