In light of what appears to be a potential criminal case involving Homelander as the defendant inThe Boys, the official social media account sarcastically referenced everyone’s favorite TV lawyer, Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman, as someone who could potentially defend the leader of The Seven in a court of law.The Boysreferred Homelander to Goodman as someone who could defend the actions that likely got him into legal trouble. This could signify the amount of hot water that Homelander is in, knowing not only what he did but also how many people saw it and that he would need to hire a “criminal lawyer"like Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman.RELATED:The Boys: Vought International ‘Responds’ To Black Noir’s Death SpeculationOnThe Boys' Twitter account, they tweeted a picture of Goodman with the caption, “Homelander better give him a call.” They then replied to their tweet, saying, “Saul ok, heard Vought’s called a good man to represent the c***.” BothBetter Call Saul’s and Saul Goodman’s official Twitter accounts responded with GIFs of Goodman, signifying that he would be up to the task. That is if he existed in the same universe asThe Boys.
This is seemingly yet another hint thatHomelander will face legal ramificationsfor his actions at the end ofThe Boysseason 3. Despite being applauded by his diehard fans for killing a Starlight fan who chucked an object at his son Ryan at a rally, he still killed an innocent bystander without a second hesitation in broad daylight. It’s not a surprise that there will be legal ramifications for what he did because of how brutally he murdered someone in front of who knows how many witnesses. However, the bigger picture is that Homelander may grow to care less because now he knows he can kill whoever he wants and won’t have to worry about it.
It would be awesometo see Saul Goodmancrossover into this universe, even if it wouldn’t make any sense. TheBreaking Bad/Better Call Saulwas a universe grounded in realism (strictly speaking), which means it wouldn’t have made any sense to cross them over to a world filled with superhero celebrities. Nonetheless, if he did, it would be hilarious to see how good ol' Slippin' Jimmy could slip his way past the legal ramifications to help Homelander beat the rap. Come to think of it, Saul Goodman probably would have been the perfect lawyer for Vought, knowing how much he loves bending the law to benefit his client.
This tweet would also imply that whatever issues Homelander is in are very bad. Even ifthe Saul Goodman referenceis a joke, it would seem to insinuate that the case against the psychopathic supe could be open and shut. Still, it doesn’t matter because he is the strongest being in the universe, so what would he care if he gets convicted? The Boysseason 4 could provide commentary on how easily celebrities have usually gotten off when they get in legal trouble. Let’s see what they do with Homelander’s upcoming legal case.
