Ammo Type
Coarse Ammo
Both of the handguns inPalworldare more general weapons, being guns that can be used for most situations when players pick them up, but aren’t as good as the high-tier armaments available.
TheMakeshift Handgunis a decent choice, with higher damage but a lower ammo count than its regular Handgun counterpart. The Coarse Ammo the Makeshift Handgun uses is a benefit, as it is an easier ammo type to create. In terms of dealing damage, this gun will fall short, but it is still a very good option for getting enemy Pal HP low enough to catch them. And, of course, any weapon loadout without a pistol will just feel wrong.

Rifle Ammo
TheSingle-Shot Rifleis a very powerful gun, living up to its namesake of only allowing one shot before requiring a reload. While this is a limitation, the rifle makes up for it with its devastating damage potential.
TheSingle-shot Rifleis anupgrade to the Musket, another gun that only permits one shot. While the Musket was cumbersome due to its long reload, the Single-Shot Rifle improves upon it, with a faster reload time, which allows for players to keep up the pace of a battle. The longer reload times are a trade-off, with very high damage, some of the best in the game, paired with one of the highest durability stats available.

Poison/Fire Arrow
Dealing a high amount of damage with either a single shot or a sustained burst is how players will fight pals inPalworld, especially with the later-game weapons. ThePoison or Fire Crossbowinstead deals damage via an over-time affliction effect. The potentecy of the affliction is independent of the Crossbow’s damage and instead dishes out percentage damage.
There aremultiple bows and crossbows availablethat can be more viable due to the ammo being easier to obtain. However, the Fire Organs used to craft the Fire Crossbow and its arrows are required for numerous other recipes, whereas the Poison variant does not.

Shotgun Shells
ThePump-action Shotgunis an upgrade to the Double-Barreled Shotgun, possessing increased damage, lower weight, and more ammo. When it comes to a punchy, short-ranged firearm, it is tough to look past this one.
As is usual for a shotgun, the Pump-Action Shotgun can completely destroy enemies in close combat, dealing a very high amount of damage per pull of its trigger. The gun is quite a late-game weapon, with it being available for crafting at level 42. The Pump-Action Shotgun is worth it, given how hard it can hit, which, when paired withgood pals and their own combat skills, will make its acquisition rewarding.

Assault Rifle Ammo
TheAssault Rifleis a gun where its highly-damaging potential comes from sustaining bursts of fire at an enemy. With very impressive stats, the Assault Rifle will tear through any adversaries, only stopping to reload, not due to it being broken asrepairing the gunwill be done less than most, given its lofty durability.
Obtaining the Assault Rifle will require a high level, that of 45, in order to craft it. The results will be worthwhile as its huge damage is a product of its ammo capacity. Holding 20 rounds, all dealing 320 damage, the Assault Rifle doesn’t need to fire to prove its worth.

Rocket Ammo
While the Assault Rifle might be the best gun for dealing high bursts of damage, theRocket Launcheris the premier weapon for dishing out singular heavy-hitting attacks.
The Rocket Launcherrequires a very high level to craft, which is 49. With the insane amount of damage it can pull off, the Rocket Launcher being available so late into the game only makes sense. Once acquired, clearing thevarious Towers and their Bosseswill become something the Rocket Launcher will only be too happy to do.
