It’s always good to be wise about when and where to use your resin, as Genshin Impact often introduces events where your resin usage can even be halved. Here is a list of various things you may do with your resin ranked from most to least optimal.
World Bosses and Ley Line Challenges
Start Out Small
This option is mainly for newbies starting the game and any player who falls within Adventure Rank 8–20. This is a crucial time in building your account and familiarizing yourself with the lay of the land. inGenshin Impact.At this point, you only get the option of using Original Resin, and it’s always best to use it on any World Bosses that you require for characters.The same goes for farming Ley Lines,as it’s very easy to run out of Experience Books and Mora inGenshin Impact. Weapon Ascension Domain

Once you’ve hit Adventure Rank 45, you can pretty much do anything you want. You’ve unlocked all the domains and now your Artifact RNG is significantly better due to your higher AR level. You can start off with Original Resin, but make sure to eventually unlock the Condensed Resin recipe from Liyue’s Reputation, as it will give youdouble the rewardswhen using it in the domain. As your main focus is now on Artifact Farming, you can set a schedule depending on the Character you’re building, and keep an eye on what materials you need from the other domains as well.
Weekly Boss Domains
Collect These Materials For Your Character Talents
Once you feel confident enough to head into a Weekly Boss domain, you need to make sure to complete these Trounce Challenges within the given time. When you initially start, it might be hard to pass the trial, but you can always match in co-op and ask other higher-level players for help. Once you hit AR 45, make sure to set aside one day of the week where you can use all 200 of your Original Resin.The first three bossesof your choice will have their Resin consumption cut by half and the rest will take the standard 60 Original Resin required for rewards.
Hold On To Fragile Resin And Condense Original Resin
An Important Habit To Remember
Fragile Resin is extremely hard to come by and players receive most of it early on in the game. One mistake that a lot of late-game players made when starting out was using their Fragile Resin early on for World Bosses and Leyline Outcrops. This is one of the biggest mistakes you can make, as when you hit AR 45 and you’re running out of resin to use in the Artifact Domains (which does happen), you are going to wish you still had that Fragile Resin. Once you do get the recipe for Condensed Resin, remember toalways Condense your resin, no matter which domain you plan on using. The only other time you shouldn’t do this is when you plan on using it for a World Boss or whenGenshin Impactis havinga Ley Line Overflow event.
