A newThe Batman Part 2villain rumor suggests a fan-favorite comic book foe will make their live-action debut.

The BatmanPart 2villain rumors are spreading. There was thetease of Barry Keoghan’s Jokerat the end of the first film and the deleted scene of him, which caused a lot of speculation about his potential role in the sequel. That has since died down, and rumors have focused on Mr. Freeze or Clayface as the two possible antagonists. But a new rumor states that another villain could appear in the film.

Hush firing his pistols Batman Cropped

The rumor comes fromThe Hot Mic with Jeff Sneider and John Rochaon YouTube. A fan asked for “any news on The Batman worth reporting.” Sneider teased a potential antagonist, saying, “Is there a rumor that the villain is going to be Hush? Maybe. Maybe that rumor exists… I have heard whispers of a Hush.” It is unclear if that means Hush would be the only villain or if the other previously rumored villains could be a part ofThe Batman Part 2,similar toColin Farrell’s The Penguinin the first film.

Sneider also clarified that it is just a rumor, and he can not confirm its accuracy. It is also likely that a final decision onThe Batman Part 2villain has yet to be made. The writers’ strike only recently ended, andThe Batman Part 2script was not finished before the labor dispute. However, Hush was teased in the first film with the name written across a picture of Thomas Wayne. The Batmanhas other references to Hush, so the rumor isn’t entirely far-fetched.

Not all fans are happy about this rumor. Some fans want to see Mr. Freeze, Clayface,or the Condiment King. However, some fans believe that this story has already been done before. Although Hush has not made his live-action film debut yet,The Batmantold a similar story and replaced him with The Riddler.

However, Matt Reeves' take on The Riddler was changed from what fans have seen previously. So, if Hush isThe Batman Part 2villain,Reeves would likely make some changes to give him an original story.

The Batman Part 2is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 19, 2025.
