Not only did the studio find success in 2015, but it was able to deliver a critically acclaimed sequel in 2020 despite the pressure to deliver a satisfying game with a compelling ending.
The similarities between Team Cherry and Moon Studios are uncanny, but the creators ofHollow Knighthave yet to release its sequel. Regardless of howHollow Knight: Silksongfares in the hands of the community, it may be optimal for them to follow in the footsteps of the other studio. In December 2023,Moon Studios announced a new gamein an entirely separate genre. With the indie studio’s current track record, the possibilities beyond Hallownest could be truly electrifying. With any luck, this year, the developers will not only unveil updates on the sequel’s progress but also lift the veil on plans for the future.
