Players can take their time near bodies of water to try and catch various types of fish inStellar Blade’sfishing minigame. It is unlocked after reaching the Great Desert and talking to the fisherman at the Oasis who then gives Eve her fishing pole.
There are many different bodies of water to fish at with many of them offering different and unique fish to catch. Players will also need to get bigger and better bait to try and catch the larger ships with the one outlier being Strange Bait. While not uncommon to get, this bait is used when trying to catch something other than fish.
What To Use Strange Bait For In Stellar Blade
Strange Bait while used for fishing, doesn’t actually catch fish. Using Strange Baitguarantees you’ll get an object just as boxes, cans, tires, or nuclear waste.Even though they aren’t alive, they will still fight and require the player to complete the usual fishing minigame in order to obtain the item. Singular items such as tires, cans of food, and nuclear waste can be sold for a high price.
Other items such as boxes will be opened upon being caught and have a variety of rewards. Most will contain a bit of gold along with the possibility ofPolymer Materials,Nano Elements, ammo, or additional fish baitto use. Using Strange Bait can often be an easy way to replenish lost bait when Eve is fishing in a far-off location and can’t return to Clyde easily.
Items caught using Strange Bait are also fairly easy and don’t even require any upgrades in order to get caught easily. One of the major reasons players will want to use Strange Bait is that there is asingle can that can only be obtained by fishing.It is possible to get their can by fishing without any particular bait equipped, but using Strange Bait can make the odds much more likely.
Where To Get Strange Bait
Unlike the other types of bait used for fishing inStellar Blade,Strange Bait is found by defeating enemies. Not all enemies in the game drop Strange Bait and it doesn’t have a very high drop rate. Those looking to find some strange bait should trydefeatingStellar Blade’sNaytibain the Great Desert region, along with those in the Abyss Levoire. Enemies that do drop Strange Bait will require Eve to pick it up just like other dropped loot.
