For many PC gamers, it simply wouldn’t be Christmas without the traditionalSteam Winter Sale, which typically starts and ends on the same dates. Last year’s even saw the likes ofThe Witcher 3,Control, and theResident Evilfranchise, among many others, all being part of the annual, end-of-year celebration.

The time has come around rather quickly, it seems. TheSteam Winter Sale was confirmed a couple of months ago, but now there’s just one more day until the event actually begins. It was something of an unusual moment, in that regard. Typically, Steam Sales are often leaked by a third party, but in this instance, Valve itself made the announcement instead, getting out ahead of those who would spoil it. While the leaks are usually correct, this time, the confirmation came straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

As always, there is no indication of which games will go on sale or with what discount. TheSteam Autumn Sale 2021was the last big event, which saw the likes ofCuphead,Undertale,Star Wars: Battlefront,Portal 2and evenDeath Strandingamong the many, many titles that were selling for cheap. There have been a lot of great games that have come out over the past twelve months. It’s feasible that some of them may go onto the sale, whether they’re AAA titles or indie releases. Whatever the case may be, there will almost certainly be something for the buddingSteamuser.
