Starfield’scyberpunk-themed city, Neon, is one of the busiest and most densely populated locations in the game. The city is home to many interesting locations and activities for players to become immersed in, from thegang feud between the Strikers and Disciplesto the creation and smuggling of the illicit contraband, Aurora. The city is also home to the Ryujin Industries faction, a mega-corporation specializing in tech innovation, who will get the player to engage in a number ofcorporate espionage missions.
During the Ryujin mission"One Step Ahead,“players will be required to visit the mining company CeltCorp in the Trade Tower building in Bayu Plaza. Inside, an additional side quest called “Hard Luck” can be started by speaking with Clover MacKenna, who can be found behind the main reception desk in the CeltCorp offices. To access the offices, take the elevator up Trade Tower, which can be found to the right-hand side of the entrance to the Astral Lounge.

How To Convince Saburo To Take The Loan
Upon speaking with Clover, players will learn about a friend of hers named Saburo Okadigbo, who took out a substantial unpaid loan from CeltCorp which he has not paid off. Being now indebted to the large company, Clover is worried and wants the player to speak to him so that she can offer to pay off the debt. Players can find Saburo in the Mining League building on the main strip of Neon.
Saburo will initially be reluctant to accept the offer, and players may need touse a persuasion attemptto convince him. Failing this, players can also pay off the debt themselves for 1000 credits. Speaking with Saburo further, he will offer the quest “Saburo’s Solution” in which players must distribute leaflets tovarious merchants around Neon. Completing this quest, however, will not make a difference in “Hard Luck,” and offers no new dialogue or persuasion options when conversing with him.

How To Find Clover’s Diary
If players have failed to convince Saburo with a persuasion attempt, and do not wish to pay off the debt themselves, it is possible to gather further evidence to help by completing the optional objective of finding Clover’s Diary. The diary is located in the CeltCorp offices, so it may be wise for players to grab this first before attempting to convince Saburo. The diary, which can be found on a slate atop a desk at the far end of the offices, is overlooked by an armed guard, who will become hostile andconsider the act a theftif players are caught taking it.
With the diary secure, players will now havea new dialogue optionwhen talking with Saburo. The diary reveals Clover’s intimate feelings for Saburo, who will then accept the offer and become excited about his future correspondence with her. Players can then return to Clover in order to collect a reward of 2000 credits. This quest can be completed before or after “One Step Ahead,” though if players are caught stealing in one mission, the area may still be hostile upon returning.
