The Luau Festival

The Luau is a Hawaiian-themed festival celebrated on11th of Summer every year. It takes place from9 am to 2 pmon Pelican Town’s Beach. Players have plenty of time to water the crops andfeed their animals before attending the festival. They need to arrive at the beach before 2 pm, or else they will end up missing out on the festivities. Like with most in-game festivals, players will be returned to their farm at 10 pm after the Luau has ended.

On the festival day, all homes and shops in Stardew Valley are “locked” and can not be entered. During the Luau, Pierre sets up a booth where he sells limited items. Players can buy these items from him.

This prank results in the Mayor being outraged, but it doesn’t affect friendship with any villagers (including Mayor Lewis).

The Luau Festival ends automatically after the Governor is done tasting the soup. It’s advisable that players only add their item to the soup when they have finished speaking with all the villagers.
