Releasing in September,Splatoon 3is one of the most anticipated Switch games coming out this fall. Recently, fans enjoyed a whole host of reveals about the game in a Nintendo Direct presentation all aboutSplatoon 3. Fans found out multiple details about customization, competitive multiplayer, new stages, weapons, and more. It seems that Nintendo has added a lot ofnew features toSplatoon 3, which will likely attract more fans, but that doesn’t mean the company has forgotten about its veteran players.Rather, Nintendo is giving some extra bonuses to players ofSplatoon 2when they log into the third game. According to Nintendo’s webpage forSplatoon 3, those who have save data fromSplatoon 2will be able to transfer that information when they launchSplatoon 3and get special in-game benefits and rewards. As well, due to a player’s previous experience in Ranked Battles, they will startSplatoon 3with a higher rank than someone beginning the game from scratch. It seems that Nintendo is hoping to provide somewhat of a level playing field inSplatoon 3’scompetitive multiplayerby letting the experienced players ofSplatoon 2match with each other online from day one.

It also appears that a lot of these in-game benefits for players ofSplatoon 2have to do with the third game’s multiplayer. Apart from three free weapons, the majority of the rewardsSplatoonveterans will receive simply boost their status in the new title’s ranked multiplayer. Still, it is interesting that Nintendo is giving returning players toSplatoon 3rewards, providing fans with an incentive to stick with the series in the long run.

Apart from benefits forSplatoon 2players, a bunch of other details aboutSplatoon 3have been revealed thanks to the recent Nintendo Direct, as well as information coming from social media. One of the bigger additions toSplatoon 3appears to be in its Tableturf Battle, which is a new competitive card-based mini-game with over 150 collectible cards. For any fan who gets slightly bored of the usual online multiplayer ofSplatoon, Tableturf Battle offers another experience entirely.
