WhileSplatoon 3has kept a lot of what fans love from some turf battle maps to weapons, there is also plenty of new content such as lockers and tableturf battles. There are also more elements of customization, one of those being nametag called SplashTags. These Splashtags are seen by all players before and after matches in Turf Battles, Tableturf Battles, andSalmon Runs.

To customize a Splashtag inSplatoon 3, press X to open the menu and get to theStatus tab. The edit button will be there, which allows the player to swap around their banners, titles, and badges. In terms of titles, players can edit to sections, an adjective, and a subject. For example, adjectives include “Inkless” or “Attention-Seeking,” and subjects include “Turf Warrior” and “Fashionista.” How to get different titles depends on the title. Some are unlocked through catalog level, while others are unlocked through story mode, the shell-out machine, and salmon run.

Getting Titles Via Shell-Out Machine

There are a ton of titles to unlock inSplatoon 3. Just playing the game will certainly reward some titles by default. However, certain methods offer more titles than others. One of the biggest methods for title gaining isthe Shell-Out Machine. The machine is in theBattle Lobby, to the right of the locker room. It is a gacha game that can be used cheaplyonce per day for 5,000 Cash.

Gamers who have particularly heavy wallets canpay 30,000 cash for each extra play per day. Keep in mind that when using the Shell-Out Machine, some titles have a far smaller chance to be obtained than others. Some are common drops, others are rare. It is all about luck.

Getting Titles Through Catalog Levels

Catalog levelsalso can award titles. Titles unlock at the following levels:

To level up the catalog fast, make sure toget at least one turf battle win a day. Each finished battle will increase points towards Catalog levels. Wins get more points, but even those who come out worse in the match still get a reward.No points are awarded for unfinished games, so quitting or disconnection during a match will cancel any points. This is also true for Salmon Run content.

Collecting every title appears to be one of the most difficult tasks a gamer can set for themselves inSplatoon 3.There are 1,139 collectible titles in total, with 558 adjectives and 574 subjects. This leaves a lot of room for players to make unique titles, and it means using the Shell-Out Machine a lot.

Some titles are rewarded for completing Story Mode. It is also recommended tolevel up in Salmon Run, Tableturf battles, and Turf battles, as leveling up in general will make getting titles easier and easier.
