The Savior’s Hide is the Daedric Artifact of Hircine inSkyrim, and one of twopossible rewards for completinghis associated questline. Hircine is the Daedric Prince of the Hunt, and his Oblivion Plane, called the Hunting Grounds, is a neverending sport of predator and prey where his most fervent supporters go to enjoy an eternity of bloodlust (or an eternity of being chased and killed).

Though the Savior’s Hide doesn’t give the Dragonborn any special new powers, it nonetheless has great passives that an early-game Light Armor user can make good use of, and it’s one of the only Magic-resistant unique items in all ofSkyrim.
Stats And Effects Of The Savior’s Hide
The Savior’s Hide is a piece of chest armor thatcan be improvedwith Leather, though players need to have leveled Smithing enough to have the Ebony Smithing perk as well. It has decent armor stats at a base 26 Armor Rating, but its real draw is its passives.

The Savior’s Hide increases a player’s Magic Resistance by 15% and their Poison Resistance by 50%. This effectively blunts all incoming magic damage and halves all poison damage. Though maximized Enchanting outclasses these benefits, it can be useful because it’s one of the few armors that comes with the Resist Magic effect already on it.
How To Get The Savior’s Hide
The Savior’s Hide is one of two possible rewards for completing the quest “Ill Met By Moonlight”. Of all the areas inSkyrimnone is perhaps more visually suited for Hircine and his hunt than Falkreath Hold – head to Falkreath itself and find a Priest named Runil in the graveyard. Talk to the slain child’s father Mathiesto officially beginthe questline.
After heading to the Falkreath Barracks, players free the accused man Sinding, who sends the player to kill a White Stag in an attempt to please Hircine. Hircine tells the Dragonborn to kill Sinding for stealing his ring. After hunting down the werewolf, players offer his hide to Hircine, who then gives back the Savior’s Hide as a reward. If the player chooses not to kill Sinding, they get the Ring of Hircine instead, the item he stole from Hircine, which removes the limit on the number of werewolf transformations a playercan do each day.
