How to Play With Friends in Skull and Bones
Players have a couple of options for using the multiplayer features inSkull and Bones. They can play with friends or join forces with random players on the same server. Before getting started, players should check theircross-play and multiplayer settings.
Cross-play can be turned on and off from the settings menu under the Accessibility tab. It must be set to “On” if players want to join lobbies with players on different platforms. Next, open the Social Tab and look at the Privacy Options. They can be set to the following:
If it’s set to “Invite Only,” players can request to group up with each other in the world. “Open” allows any player to join another’s lobby automatically. Lobbies inSkull and Bonescan be groups of up to three people and can be set up at any time using the Social tab or in the world.
The Social tab includes group information, a list of online friends, and pending requests. Additionally, any players you’ve interacted with recently on a server will appear under the world tab and can be added as friends. A “Find Group” option also searches for nearby groups set to “Open.”
If friends are playing on the same platform, they can be added using the Social tab. Otherwise, players must use their Ubisoft account to add others on a different platform. Once added, group invites can be sent quickly.
If there are issues connecting to a server, sending a group invite while already in world helps.
Players can recruit their fellow pirates by sending them a group invite. Certain situations, like Plundering and Legendaries, also allow them to use the “Call For Help” option, which alerts nearby players that they need assistance. While in a lobby, players can travel together, completing missions or going off on their own adventures and tasks.
