Skate 3’s map has a number of iconic locations perfect for a well timed speed glitch. This updated guide will include several ideal locations where gamers can land the perfect trick.Speed glitches in Skate 3open up an endless number of opportunities for skaters. Travel to the locations at the end of this guide to pull off the most amazing clips possible in Skate 3.

Setting Up
It is important to set up in the right direction and place a marker before attempting the speed glitch. Gamers should always set the marker after they have thrown their board. Because of how the glitch works, the character will be shot out in an awkward direction. Players will need to face the opposite way of their intended path. Goofy footers should turn the character slightly to the left, and regular footers need to turn slightly to the right. The weird setup and direction will all make sense once people see the glitch in-game.

First Steps
The initial movement players will want to practice is jumping up and down. The default button to jump is X on Xbox and square on PS. One of the keys to pulling off the perfect glitch is timing the top of the jump. The glitch will not work if the jump is mistimed.
At the top of the jump, gamers will need to press RB or R1. If performed correctly the character’s arm should flail while in the air. The only remaining step is to press Y or Triangle right after pressing RB/R1. It seems way too simple for a full-fledged guide on paper, but getting the timing down can be frustrating. If pressing RB/R1 at the peak does not work, people may have a better success rate if they press the button just as the skater begins to descend.

Timing And Cues
There are a few tells which indicate what the user is doing wrong. Pressing Y too early will result in the skater just hopping on the board. On the contrary, pressing Y too late will cause the character to bail. Players will fail a number of times before they can get the timing down.
Doing the glitch is like riding a bike if gamers can get the timing right. Jumping and pressing RB/R1 at the peak of the jump is easy, so the most important step will be summoning the board. People can use the tips above to understand whether they are pulling the board too early or too late. The difference between a successfulSkate 3speed glitchand failure is less than a fraction of a second. Performing the glitch is all about feel, which will take practice to master.

The Perfect Speed Glitch
If the character model pulls in the board at the right time, it will send the skater into hyperspace while going fakie. Most of the time, the player will be going faster than normal, which is enough to clear small gaps and pull off a few tricks. However, if the camera zooms away from the character model, it is a perfectSkate 3speed glitch.
Skaters will be traveling fast enough to clear unfathomable gaps across the map. Using just a small ramp or transition is enough to send a skater flying into the stratosphere.

Speed Glitch Alternatives
While the backward glitch is the proper way to get the most speed in-game, there are several different ways tospeed glitch inSkate 3. The easiest of which is the cannonball speed glitch. This was the first method discovered when the game was released. However, there are a few other methods to generate more speed.
Cannonball Speed Glitch
To cannonball speed glitch, players will want to drop their board and move forward.Press A/X , then X/squareshortly afterward. While holding X/square down, push up on the right thumbstick to cannonball. The only remaining step is to press Y/triangle before hitting the ground.
RB/R1 Speed Glitch
ThisSkate 3speed glitchis like the above method minus the cannonball.Hold RB/R1 while pressing the other buttons. As soon as the skater is in the air,let go of RB and summon the board. Like the backwards summon glitch, the character’s arms will raise if the timing is correct.
High Pump Speed Glitch
Once players knowhow to speed glitchwith RB/R1, they can attempt the high pump speed glitch. First, people will need tofigure out which button the high pump gesture is mapped to. This will be the only additional button that needs to be pressed.

Use the same method as the RB/R1 glitch, but press the high pump button on the D-pad first. Before the character’s hands go all the way up, press RB/R1. It should look like the skater is awkwardly hugging someone. Next, repeat the steps above to get a little more speed.
Other Reasons Why The Speed Glitch Does Not Work
Many have reported that the glitch will only work on easy mode, but this appears to differ depending on the console and player. Those struggling may want to attempt the glitch on easy mode. Another thing to keep in mind is theframe rate upgradesfrom the 360/PS3 to the Xbox One/PS4.
With at least 30-60 frames on the Xbox One/PS4, it is harder to time pressing the summon button. This is because frame rounding on less than 30 fps will make the sequence more forgiving. Trying on easy mode and lowering fps will make performing the glitch much more straightforward.

Best Locations For Speed Glitching
The reason people learn the speed glitch is to exploit the mechanics in game. The following locations will give skaters the opportunity to pull off impossible tricks and clear insurmountable obstacles with theSkate 3speed glitch.

Super-Ultra Mega-Park
There are so many different things players can do with the speed glitch in the Mega-Park. Skaters can acid drop at supersonic speed from the road above the park for massive airs. Gapping or hip transfering from any of the bowls is an option too. Gamers need to head over to that area and get creative with their approach. The Mega-Park has to beone of the best places to test out the speed glitch.
The Canals
As most players should know by now, there are a number of canals ontheSkate 3map. The dam is an awesome launch pad for a speed glitch, and seemingly every other part of the canal presents a different challenge while going extremely fast. Skaters can air over streets and use the canal banks to string together insane combinations.
Highway Tunnels
With enough speed, it is actually possible toloop the highway tunnels in the game. The only way to generate enough speed for the loop is a speed glitch. Similarly, any loop obstacle with a smooth surface is perfect for a speed glitch clip. People should search around the map to try and find an obstacle no one has looped before.
Over The Mountains And Above The City
Without the speed glitch, players would be unable to get on top of buildings and mountains. Skaters can use a small kicker and get to almost any location on the map with some persistence. From there, setting up on a mountain and speed glitching into the fall will lead to some hilarious gameplay. People will also be able to gap between the tall buildings in the game using ramps and kickers. The Skate 3 speed glitchgives players an unending number of gaps, tricks, and combos to attempt.
