The Sims 4will be getting two new underwear choices in Create-A-Sim and additional placement options when putting down bathroom decorations. TheSims 4has been around for nearly a decade, but that doesn’t mean that its developers are done with it just yet. Even thoughProject Rene is ongoing, they’re also still releasing content forThe Sims 4and making sure that it gets the updates and fixes that it needs.
Recently, the Infants update - a major free update to the game - was released, and it added a brandnew life stage toThe Sims 4as well as various new gameplay features such as Science Babies, for example. When this update went live in March, players didn’t expect that they’d be getting any extra free content anytime soon due to its size and complexity; however, they were proven wrong with update v1.97.

On April 18, The Sims Team revealed the patch notes for what seemed like a regular update to take care of typicalSims 4glitches. To the surprise of many fans, they made two additions to Create-a-Sim and added options to place clutter on bathroom appliances - both completely in-sync with therelease of the bathroom and underwearSims 4kits. Once they download the new update, everySimsplayer will get two new underwear options with various color swatches. So, besides the classic underwear, Sims can now rock high-wasted briefs or low-rise boxer shorts. The options will be available in CAS as long as the Sim is a teen or older. On top of this, toilets, bathtubs, and sinks will now all properly count as surfaces, allowing players to put decorative items on them.
The ability to place small decor on bathroom appliances might not seem like a big deal, but it will definitely help gamers that enjoy building lived-in homes. Before, if a player wanted to place a soap dispenser or a toothbrush holder next to their sink, they couldn’t do it without having to go through a complex process; they would have toenable cheats inThe Sims 4, activate bb.moveobjects, and place the item on the tile before actually putting down the sink.
No matter how old the game is, these quality-of-life changes are crucial, and The Sims Team needs to focus on taking care of all issues reported by avidSims 4players before completely moving on to a new project and leaving the game behind.
The Sims 4is available now for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
