Jennifer Walters encountered a brand-new type of challenge this week while entering the world of online dating. She learned the hard way that superhero’s struggle to have a love life, while also encountering some new people through work and forming a more solid bond with Wong.
She-Hulkepisode 4expanded upon numerous storylines opened up in previous episodes, had a few tie-ins to other past and potential Marvel projects, and even showed audiences how strange pairings sometimes make the best duos. Here’s every Easter egg from this week fans should know about.

Donny Blaze
Speculations of Ghost Rider appearing in the series started flying beforeShe-Hulkeven premiered, and fans were hoping to get a glimpse at the MCU’s new Johnny Blaze. Although episode 4 wasn’t exactly what fans had in mind, they did meet a character by a similar name, though he goes by Donny instead of Johnny.
Knowing Marvel, this could mean one of two things. Firstly, including a character named Donny could’ve simply been the MCU poking fun at overeager fans desperate to meet a new and improvedversion of Ghost Rider. Secondly, as always, there’s a chanceShe-Hulkis setting up something for the future by putting an original spin on such a well-known character.

Khonshu Necklace
Donny’s name wasn’t the only thing about him raising eyebrows this week. In the opening scene of episode 4, Donny is wearing multiple different necklaces. Just below his tacky ‘B’ chain is a pendant which closely resemblesMoon Knight’sEgyptian god, Khonshu.
This likely wasn’t a coincidence, given how Marvel likes to draw connections between projects through small details until the overarching storyline brings characters together. Having gained such a positive reaction from fans,Steven Grant and Marc Spectorwill surely be playing a bigger role in the franchise at some point during Phase 5, perhaps with connections to the underwhelming and bland magician, Donny Blaze.

Wong Is A Pop-Culture Lover
Despite his professional preoccupation with the Mystic Arts, Marvel’s beloved Sorcerer Supreme is a huge fan of the hit TV show,The Sopranos. His particular obsession with the series landed him an unlikely friend by the name of Madisynn King this week, as well as the perfectly absurd pet name Wongers.
Jen’s To-Do List
A short glimpse at Jennifer’s list of tasks for the day called back to various moments from previous episodes of the series. There were plenty of references toEmil Blonskyand his recent legal case, as Jen’s list was full of things she needed to do to tie up any loose ends from the parole hearing.
She also made a note to order purple and green highlighters, an obvious reference to Hulk’s classic look from the comics. While thinking of her cousin, she made sure to include a few tasks about purchasing Cheetos and chopsticks, referencing the moment she and Bruce shared in episode 1.

The last page of her list mentioned a trial between two names fans haven’t seen before, Kraft and Soule. This was likely a nod to Marvel Comics writers David Anthony Craft and Charles Soule, who actually played a part in bringingShe-Hulkto life on the pages. There was also a slot saved for Lee and Byrne, a clear acknowledgment ofMarvel’s creator Stan Leeand comic artist John Byrne.
The Incredible She-Hulk
While on one of her many outings from the internet dating site, Matcher, Jen met a variety of pretty awful men. One in particular described her as a “specimen,” and said her battle with Titania in the courtroom was “incredible.”
Jen handled it as best she could, even cracking a joke that people love to use that word around her because of her relationship to Bruce. The date was certainly awkward, but it confirmed that citizens of the MCU must be referring to her as the Incredible She-Hulk quite often.

Titania Will Return
Jen’s date wasn’t the only time celebrity influencer andvillain Titaniawas mentioned this week, either. In the final moments of episode 4, Jen discovered that Titania’s internet followers were vehemently protesting her release from jail. Immediately after, Jen discovered that Titania was planning to sue her for using the name She-Hulk, which Titania claims to have copyright privileges over.
This is surely a setup for another battle between them in the future, likely legal and physical. Tensions will surely rise between them when they appear in court together, and it wouldn’t be a Marvel Cinematic Universe production if there weren’t any blows exchanged between them down the line.

She-Hulk Fights Demons
The demonic creatures released in episode 4 were quite adorable when they were small, even though they had a taste for blood. It might seem a bit strange to have a Hulk dealing with foes more traditionally saved strictly for characters like Doctor Strange, Jen actually fought demons before inthe Marvel Comics. The little guys from the series appear different from the demons she encountered in the comics, but pitting her against such an enemy actually fits with her written origins.
