Compared to other modern MMOs,New Worldfrom Amazon Games Studios blends history and fantasy in its take on the fantasy RPG. InNew World, players take the form of adventurers who hope to find glory and fortune on the mysterious island ofAeternum, where somehow the mysterious energy source Azoth is sought-after to give its users incredible power. However, players see an utter catastrophe on the island, with the threat known only as Corruption transcending the barriers between life and death.

Not only that, players who explore Aeternum in their journey throughout theNew Worldexperience may discover that the island was once home to an ancient civilization rendered obsolete by the very Azoth players have been looking for. Having no choice but to settle in the island as a shipwrecked adventurer, players need to find a way to survive - with Aeternum’s map seemingly hiding Easter Eggs.
10Alligator In Monarch’s Bluffs
Perhaps the best starting point for players to check out when looking into Easter Eggs in theirNew Worldgameplay would beMonarch’s Bluffs. This Easter Egg was accessible, particularly to the north of where “Monarch’s Bluffs” is on the map, along the edge of Ebonscale Reach’s southern border.
When clicked, the game lets players claim their reward which is a link that redirects to a picture of an adventurer pointing a Musket at anAlligator. Aside from containingNew World’s signature art style, the wallpaper is accurate in illustrating the swampy northern section of Monarch’s Bluffs as well as showing the Alligator that is also native to the area.

9Cayo De La Muerte
Another Easter Egg players can access in theirNew Worldexploration would be the northernmost point of the area between Cutlass Keys and First LIght, revealingCayo de la Muerte. Translated as “fell from death” in Spanish, Cayo de la Muerte inNew Worldlore pertains to the site of Stone Skull Fort, previously known as a haven for sailors. Nowadays, it’s home to the Skullworm Pirates led by the unchallenged Goldstein the Equalizer.
In the game, players do get the opportunity to fight Goldstein. Courtesy of the quest “Unbalanced Scales,” players are tasked to collect Goldstein’s Scales from the villain himself, having players infiltrate the heavily-guarded Fort to come face to face with the pirate boss in the form of an in-game boss.

8Siren Of Reekwater
The second Easter Egg that can be viewed in the interactive map in a player’sNew Worldgameplay would be located alongReekwater. Found on the bridge that connects the Siren’s Dog and the Siren’s Muscle. This time, fans would immediately recognize the woman wearing a pirate’s hat as theSiren.
In the concept art, the Siren summons lightning from her staff as her undead minions take charge. The location of this interactive segment of the map is entirely accurate, mainly since it’s located in the Forecastle Drift region that houses the Siren boss.

7The Imperial Palace
Another Easter Egg players can find in theirNew Worldexperience with the interactive map would be theImperial Palace. Located in the structure just left of Ebonscale Reach, players are treated to a wallpaper of the Imperial Palace standing strong during dusk.

The Imperial Palace remains one of the most integral locations inNew Worldlore. When viewed, the map reveals that the absence of the Empress has caused a power vacuum in Aeternum, forcing her aides to take the leadership of the land in their own hands.
6The Spire Of Melpomene
During the teaser event before the launch ofNew World, the interactive map was also laid with more Easter Eggs that contained wallpaper and hints on other clues in the map. The first clue is located on the west of Ghastly Reef, smack dab in the center of the drawing of the ship on the lake.
Clicking this will reveal a wallpaper of fourNew Worldadventurers looking at the tall statue of the Siren Queen in Reekwater’s Spire of Melpomene. This location becomes a huge part of the MMO’s launch period, especially since the Siren has become one of the game’s first big bosses. The game also adds that the second clue is at the heart of the exploding mountain.

5Myrkgard, The Fallen
Given the previous clue, players ofNew Worldcan find their next Easter Egg on top of the Shattered Mountain. The game prompts the player with news that they have discoveredMyrkgard, which the lore states was once the crown fortress of Aeternum before suffering one of the most colossal losses to the Corruption.
The Easter Egg reveal is accompanied by a wallpaper of Myrkgard Cathedral, now destroyed and engulfed in magma and flames. The area would eventually serve as one of the higher-tier areas for players preparing for the postgame, with Myrkgard being a Level 65+ zone. The game’s next clue is that destiny is decided ‘between the axes.”

4Weapons Showcase
Players interested in discovering the next Easter Egg in the interactive map of theirNew Worldgameplay won’t be able to find it anywhere inside the MMO’s playable areas. Rather, the clue is located in the location the game specifies: between the axes. This refers to the “logo” of theNew WorldMMO, a pair of crossed axes. The same imagery is located on the edge of the map, with the axes found inside the game’s equivalent of the map compass.

3Garden Of Genesis
The following clue players can find in their interactive map experience inNew Worldwould be located on the eye of the fish to the right of Mourningdale’s borders. When clicked, this reveals a wallpaper of a murky swamp with glow-in-the-dark mushrooms alongside a statue, possibly referring to various dungeons in the game that also feature wild plant growths.
Such a dungeon would be theGarden of Genesis, where players have to stop a mysterious Blight from spreading out of Edengrove and infecting the entirety of Aeternum. The next clue was said to be located where a “traitor” is found and where the “south” is watched.

2The Watchtower
The following Easter Egg players should look for in their New World gameplay is located in the First Light, particularlythe Watchtower. Clicking it reveals a scenic view of the location, with a figure on watch along the ground while the sun sets.
The First Light Watchtower is one of the first areas players will discover when they start the game. In turn, the area is a relatively weak mob zone, with monsters ranging from Levels 1 to 25. Afterward, the game leads players to the final clue, hinting that the “truth” lies where the Azoth blooms.

1The Azoth Tree Comes To Life
Another Easter Egg players can find in theNew Worldinteractive map comes in the form of one of the most coveted locations in the game - theAzoth Tree. This is located in Brightwood, just below the part of the map that says “Brightwood” and along the tree-like structure that sprouts inside the area of Salt Hollow.
When clicked, players are told that the Azoth Tree is the only place in Aeternum where Azoth openly grows despite the threat of Corruption in the last Great Surge.
