As the next generation of graphics cards looms ahead, perhaps just weeks away from being officially unveiled, rumor mills will continue to spew out a multitude of speculations on what AMD andNvidiawill be offering up this year. WithAMD’s Navi 31 possibly having a bigger memory busthan previously thought, and various numbers being banded around about the TDP of team green’s flagship GPU, it can be difficult to filter through what’s true and what’s just hearsay. With that, there has been talk about Jensen Huang and co’s Ada Lovelace range, specifically how big it could potentially be.
According to a recent video from the Moore’s Law Is Dead YouTube channel,Nvidiacould unleash a next-gen graphics card which could be quite sizable, more so than the recent Ampere offerings. It’s been suggested that the next RTX range, most likely the 4090 Ti, could take up to 4.5 slows in a user’s PC. It’s possible that this could even become the standard as the new generation comes to fruition. The sources on the video even state that these cards will be “monsters,” with the host adding that another source says the 4090 Ti could be around $2,000.

To many, the idea of a GPU taking up 4.5 slots will seem ridiculous. However, given thesheer size of the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti, with the biggest designs taking up 3.5 slots, this could well be the future of enthusiast graphics hardware. This recent speculation seems to correlate with some leaked images, which show a rather wide cooler for an upcoming graphics card. While the MLID host does concede that it could just look so big because of the angle the photo was taken at, the fact that sources have indicated that the 4090 Ti could take up a lot of space does match up with the images.
WithNvidia possibly revealing the RTX 40-series by July, a little earlier than originally expected, it might not be long before gamers and PC users get confirmation on what’s in the pipeline from both team green and team red. It should be pointed out that nothing has been confirmed by the tech giant about the Ada Lovelace in terms of the rumors flying around, so take everything with a pinch of salt for now. Plus, speculations are changing all the time, it seems.

Evidently, it seems that the company is wanting to squeeze as much life out of this GPU era as it can, while also hoping to get a head start for the next-gen.
