A key component ofResident Evil 4is its replay value, as it allows players to repeatedly to through the game in New Game+ to tackle higher difficulties and fully upgrade their weapons, and the same is true of theResident Evil 4remake. Just like the original, theResident Evil 4remake features a New Game+ option for those that manage to reach the end credits.
TheResident Evil 4remake is a relatively short game, and so those that are nearing the end may be nervous about what carries over to New Game+. They may be wondering if they need to spend their cash or sell their treasures before the final boss, or if they need to wrap up anything else.

Here is everything that carries over in theResident Evil 4remake’s New Game+.
Resident Evil 4 Remake New Game+: What Carries Over
WhenResident Evil 4remake players kill the final boss and start a New Game+ run, pretty much everything carries over except for key items and side quest progress. This means thatResident Evil 4remake players get to keep all their weapons, ammo, money, upgraded weaponry, healing items, and treasures. Considering this, there is little reason to worry about losing out on anything when starting aResident Evil 4remake New Game+ run. The game is built for players to endlessly replay, continuously expanding and upgrading Leon’s expansive arsenal.
There are some other things to keep into account when it comes toResident Evil 4remake’s New Game+, though. Anyone wanting to get an S+ rank in the game, which is necessary to unlock all theResident Evil 4remake achievements/trophies, should note that doing so is not impossible on New Game+ runs. While it seems like an extremely daunting task, this means that S+ is only available to those who are able to beat the game extremely fast with none of the New Game+ benefits or upgrades.
Fans will also want to keep side quests in mind. As previously mentioned,Resident Evil 4remake side quest progression does not carry over in New Game+ runs. Something else that makesside quests in theResident Evil 4remakea little tricky is the fact that players can get locked out of them by progressing too far in the game. There are side quests specific to each area of the game and players will want to be mindful of that while they’re trying to complete them.
Resident Evil 4is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
