Chapter 7 ofResident Evil 4 Remakesends Leonand Ashley into theCastle portion of the game. Players can expect tougher enemies and puzzles now that they have left the Village. The common enemies are now replaced with Zealots. These are members of the cult in service to the Castle’s master.
They wear long robes with colors denoting their rank, along with pieces of medieval armor. Expect Zealots to act calmer than their village counterparts. They tend to mumble instead of shout and will creep around areas. The Overkill achievement involves killing a Zealot with a cannon. Players have a limited area where this can be accomplished. Follow these steps to get this tricky achievement.

The Castle Gate
Ashley and Leon are introduced to the first Zealot enemy in the chapel towards the beginning of Chapter 7. Once they exit the chapel the well-guarded Castle Gate lies ahead. The Zealots have prepared a line of crossbow wielders at the first wall.Use a scoped rifleto pick them off from afar.
Once players have turned the corner the enemies will begin bombardingLeon and Ashley withcatapults. Keep moving to avoid them. Stop only when the red explosive barrels on the catapult towers are visible. Shoot these barrels to destroy the catapult enemies as you move through the area. Keep an eye out as Zealots will occasionally sneak up from behind to grab Ashley. She is also easily damaged by the catapults so keep her close. Getting to the main castle gate doorway will reveal that it is locked.
Raise the Cannon
When turning around at the locked door a yellow banner is visible flowing in the wind nearby. Head over to that platform to take cover and destroy a catapult or two.
Jump down near the yellow banner.
Destroy the counterweight and the cannon platform will raise upward. Continue on and up the ladder to destroy a nearby catapult and unlock the door back to the castle gate.
Fire the Cannon at a Zealot
Run to the cannon while killing as few enemies as possible. Every Zealot that Leon dispatches is one less that he can get with the cannon. Press the A/X button to use the cannon. Do not fire at the locked door right away. Turn the cannon back to the enemies chasing Leon and Ashley instead.
Line up the shot and fire at a Zealot to get the Overkill Achievement. If there aren’t any enemies left alive, players canreload the last savenear the merchant at the castle entrance to try again.
