Kevlar

Doesn’t Restrict Movement, Not That Strong

While not as protective as steel or ceramic plates, this soft body armor allows officers to move quickly and confidently without fully sacrificing protection. Kevlar allows users to be the most mobile, but at the expense of being less protective against rifle calibers and slugs.

Kevlar is the most common armor material inReady or Not, due to its lightweight. However, that’s the main advantage of this armor, as players can happily walk around at a quickened pace, without having their weight increase and their speed reduced. However, thiscomes with noted disadvantages, like the fact that players are going to feel every hit of a rifle bullet or a shotgun slug, making them far weaker in comparison. The Kevlar armor should mainly be used in large maps, where players have plenty of cover to protect them.

Steel

Heavy But Unbreakable

Useful against pistol and all rifle calibers. Steel plates will never break and consistently offer a damage reduction on impact, but offer the least mobility to the user. Some impacts may cause spall to the user, injuring them passively through fragments of shattered rounds.

There’s a natural advantage to using steel armor inReady or Not, due to the fact that the armor plates will not break. However, there’s a notable disadvantage, since players will move the slowest of the armors when using steel. This comes with its own drawbacks, such as the inability to quickly get to cover and move around, which may prove fatal. However, the ability to tank more shots from pistols and rifles makes for a great choice for those who want extra protection, but thatdoesn’t mean it’s going to stop certain deaths.

Ceramic

Blocks All Damage Until Broken

Ceramic plates are lighter than steel and do a better job of spreading the momentum of a bullet to reduce the felt impact. Useful against pistol and most rifle calibers. Ceramic plates will block all damage to the user until they are broken, and are lighter than steel.

Whilst steel armor may offer the most permanent solution to protection, the ceramic plates are arguably the best for multiple reasons. Ceramic armor will negate all damage until the ceramic plates break. This gives players a necessary form of protection, which will wither as the game goes on, and they come into more contact with enemies. Being able to move faster than steel plates, and have solid protection against bullets, is why ceramic is the best armor inReady or Not.
