Just in the past few months, thebeta matches forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2were ruined by hackerswho flooded into the game’s matches, spoiling the experience for many players. Little did he know that a hacker was about to project something completely unexpected onto his screen: a cartoon chicken. All was going well in the match until a still image of a cartoon chicken floated onto the screen, causing Athieno, unfortunately, to be eliminated in the match. However, according to a tweet Athieno later posted he didn’t seem too pressed about the matter. Warning: the following video contains profanity.
It can be difficult enough playing the game whenRainbow Six Siegeis one of the few games that take into account friendly fire. But when a random picture of a giant chicken floats into frame and obscures one’s view, that will make the game downright impossible. Even though it is surely frustrating to be surprised like that in the middle of a match, the clip Athieno posted on his official Twitter account shows that the streamer took the hack in stride, laughing at the ridiculousness of it all.
Rainbow Six Siegeis one of the most popular first-person shooters out there right now. The game has even branched out to themobile gaming market withRainbow Six Mobile. With more growth and an influx of potential new players, it’s probably safe to assume that the hacking in these games will not stop any time soon. The unfortunate fact is that it seems as though hackers have now become an inevitable pest in the world of online gaming. Even though hacking can be a real pain for online players, it can sometimes be refreshing to find a hack that is so ridiculous gamers can’t help but laugh.
Rainbow Six Siegeis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
