Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siegehas had a number of cosmetic events over the years, with some of them being significantly more exciting (or appropriate) than others. The latest in line is, strangely enough, a crossover withRick & Morty, featuring the show’s ever-popular Mr. Meeseeks.
While Tom Clancy purists might be terrified at the idea of having a playable Mr. Meeseeks inRainbow Six Siege, the crossover shouldn’t be quite as extensive as that. Ubisoft is yet to provide a full overview of what to expect from the promo, but so far they have shown off a relatively reasonable Mr. Meeseeks hood.

This isn’t the first time the game has hosted a crossover of this kind. Back in April 2021, players had the opportunity to unlock another set ofRainbow Six Siege Rick & Mortycosmetics, with a whole batch of thematically appropriate weapon and operator skins popping up along the way. The extent of the newRick & Mortycrossover is not yet known, but Ubisoft has revealed that it’s going to be available starting on January 20th.
While there’s no official announcement that would help clarify what sort ofRick & Mortyitems players should expect out of the newRainbow Six Siegecrossover, Ubisoft’s tweet suggests that the Mr. Meeseeks items won’t be dropping in on their own. SinceRainbow Six Siegeoperator skins aren’t interchangeable, it seems like a safe bet that the game will get at least a few entirely unique sets this time, too.
On top of that, odds are that players may also get another opportunity to purchase the oldRick & Mortyitems inRainbow Six Siegeas part of the new event. These include (but are not limited to) the Pickle Rick items for Smoke, the Gromflomite items for Sledge, and a number of standaloneRainbow Six Siegeweapon skinsand charms. Ubisoft is bound to release more information about the latestRick & Mortyevent sooner rather than later, too, as it will be going live shortly.
While the cheeky nature ofRainbow Six Siegecosmetic eventsmight jive with a significant portion of the player base, it’s worth keeping in mind that a non-insignificant number of players are tactical shooter purists, too. There’s an argument to be made that meme-worthy crossovers disconnectRainbow Six Siegeeven further from its hardcore tactical roots, but at least Ubisoft isn’t afraid to have a little fun with the IP.
Rainbow Six Siegeis currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series platforms.
