The first thing is both games fall into the niche category, as the first one is a city building game and the second is, as obvious, a farm simulator which receiving middling reviews at best. Of course, while these titles are lackluster on their own, they were worsened by a leak that released beforehand.
Now, it’s worth mentioning that leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, but there have been plenty of PS Plus leaks in the past that actually turned out legit. Sometimes these are from third parties, whereas there’s been a slip upload of YouTube ahead of time. The leaked games forMay 2020 wereDying LightandDark Souls, a far cry from what fans actually received.
May 2020 ended up being such a “miss” that fans even took to Change.org to start a petition, askingto change May 2020’s PS Plus Games. That’s not something that happens often, even with the occasional drop of the ball, and June 2020 needs to make up for it.
PS Plus for June 2020: Go Big or Go Home
Even more, while redirecting May’s conversation is a key and important thing, it’s also summer. Big game releases will be delayed for a while, and with the coronavirus still resulting in delays industry wide, many may be looking for new solid games to try. Delivering on that will be a huge boon for the service and could even build hype for what’s revealed for thefall and PS5. All things considered, there’s a lot of reasons for PS Plus to go big in June 2020, and fans won’t forget it if the company does.
