Secondly, since the release of the PS5 and the dominating rise of Game Pass, games offers on PS Plus have been high quality as a means to push the quality of the service too. Each of the games made available this year has not onlyoutpaced PS Plus in 2020, but outright dominated it.

When looking to comparePS Plus in 2020with PS Plus in 2021, there are a few caveats to keep in mind. The most obvious is that 2020 is over, so fans already know the full value of PS Plus then. In contrast, there’s still 5 months worth of offerings to come from Sony in 2021, or slightly less than half its value already established. Furthermore, the pricing of games offered in 2020 may have also degraded, but for the sake of comparison, we are using the total as it was offered last year.

Other key details include that Sony has offered not only more games this year, but higher quality games andPS5 upgrades/versions to boot. The cheapest game offered in 2020 actually came in at the price of $4.99, while the cheapest PS Plus game in 2021 has been $19.99. As such, it should come as no surprise that PS Plus has already blown 2020’s records out of the water. As $850 bucks has already been offered via 22 games this year, that’s $100 more than the $750 bucks offered across 28 games in the entirety of 2021. Keeping this train going would put the total of PS Plus in 2021 around 1450-1500 bucks when everything is said and done this year, as long as the overall quality of each month is kept similar, and that more than pays for itself when compare to its $120 undiscounted per year price.
PS Plus Free Games for August 2021
Assuming that nothing really changes there, players are at least looking at a $20 bump next month with at least two more games raising that even further. It’s impossible to predict what else will release on thePS Plus service in August 2021, but truth is, there’s nowhere to go but up for PS Plus.
