Pokemon Legends: Arceusbrings a variety of new features to thePokemonfranchise, including the addition of the mighty Alpha Pokemon. These high-leveled creatures serve as the mini-bosses of the areas they are encountered in and are typically visibly larger than other Pokemon of the same type. OnePokemon Legends: Arceusplayer recently shared a short clip showcasing exactly how large Alpha Snorlax and Blissey are in Jubilife Village.
Alpha Pokemon are generally the largestsize their species reach and may know moves that their species doesn’t normally gain by leveling up. This means that capturing an Alpha Pokemon is often a good way for players to power up their teams inPokemon Legends: Arceus. However, some gamers have also found other uses for Alpha Pokemon, including just marveling at their incredible size.

Redditor laurabxth shared a short video of the player walking past two massive Alpha Pokemon, the already-titanic Snorlaxand the slightly smaller Blissey. Both Pokemon are shown towering over the player despite Blissey still sitting down. This is impressive, as the player character would generally be about the same size as a seated Snorlax or standing Blissey. The accompanying text states that the two Pokemon are (jokingly) laurabxth’s last two brain cells.
In the clip, the player is standing far enough away from the two Pokemon that it can be difficult to see exactly how big they are. However, despite the distance, a bit of research heavily suggests that they are both Alphas due to size comparisons.
Blissey is closer to the playerand sitting down, but the player appears to come up to about the size of its egg. Snorlax, meanwhile, is further away and standing for most of the runtime, but also seems to be noticeably taller than the massive Blissey. Both Pokemon appear to be tall enough for their heads to brush the roofs of the buildings behind them. Given the sizes of the Snorlax and Blissey players usually encounter in the game, this seems to confirm that laurabxth is showing off two Alpha Pokemon.
As of writing, it appears that other fans are excited to see such massive Pokemon. One user noted that finally havinga genuinely massive Snorlaxmade the game for them, which might be understandable. Snorlax is often portrayed as big enough to block roads and serve as a trampoline in expanded materials, but it usually seems about human-sized in the games. Alpha Snorlax certainly brings a new sense of scale and weight to the Pokemon.
