Summary
Niantic has released a new update forPokemon GOwhich makes a few pivotal changes to the game, including a fix for the frustrating bug related to hitboxes while throwing PokeBalls. The issue has been lingering around for a while now, with players being unable to catch Pokemon at all due to the inconsistent behavior of throws inPokemon GO.
While new updates are often eagerly awaited by the video game community, things have been quite different forPokemon GOplayers. The last few updates have been quite controversial, to say the least, with several players being skeptical of the addition of any new features inPokemon GO. DespitePokemon GOrecently being voted as the biggest popular game, its recent patches have caused problems, so it’s good news that an update has finally alleviated some of the issues players have been facing.

In a new post on The Silph Road subreddit, user Aniothable highlights that a new update is now available forPokemon GO. The version 0.319.0 update finally fixes thePokeBall throwing issue that many players have been frustrated with inPokemon GOfor quite a while now. The update is not yet available on the Google Play Store for everyone, but it is slowly rolling out so that everyone should get access to it in the days to come. While Android users can download the APK file directly from third-party websites, iOS users will need to wait until the update is out on the App Store.
Niantic Addresses GO’s Routes Bug & Possibly Gears Up For Dynamax Feature
Several users have reported that it seems like the issue has been solved as their throws are now working as expected. Curveballs were the most affected by the bug, with many reporting that the PokeBalls ended up going to a different spot altogether. Another notable change reported by a few users is that the game is running a bit smoother than before. That being said, this is something that can only be confirmed once more players try the latest version of the game out across various devices.
That’s not all, though, as another notable fix is thatPokemon GORoutesno longer display the annoying distance not met bug. Earlier, players were getting a pop-up at the end of the Route that they had not met the distance for the Route, despite surpassing the required length. While this didn’t affect the rewards, it was still an extremely frustrating issue to deal with.
Last but not least, there seem to be some UI/UX changes coming with the update as well. TheMega Evolve button inPokemon GOhas been moved to the middle. The change seems to be quite unusual, but with leaks reporting that the Dynamax mechanic is on the way, Niantic might be making space for that.
